This was last night on the mountain opposite to my home, where I saw this fire. At first I was scared when I initially started seeing the smoking coming up and then gradually the fire. I asked some village people around what was happening and they told me that these were the tribal people doing it, now that monsoon is over and all the grass on the mountain has become dry, they are burning off the dried grass to clear their walking path.
That is ok, because I understand that these tribal people are living up there and the dried grass must be a problem for them, especially when they want to navigate through the path. But the sad part is that there are many trees also and with the grass getting burned up and the fire was big I am sure the trees must be also getting impacted. The problem is no one stops them or tell them anything. These people have been living here since years and have their homes up here, no police or government official will go up there to take any measures.
The village people told me that once the fire they set became so wild and big that they had to call the fire brigade which again was a big challenge on this path. Though they came they could not do anything, because it was impossible for them to reach up there. This has been going on for a long time and they refuse to listen to anyone. In the bargain a lot of trees are getting destroyed, which is such a pity.
When it started it was a small area but then in sometime it spread out till a long way. I had only heard about forest fires and this is the first time I am actually seeing it, I was feeling scary and angry at the same time.
It's very difficult to educate these tribal people, no matter how much you tell them, in the end they will only do what they want to. The only way is that the government gets strict with them, but that also I am not sure how much it will work. Having an indigenous life around is good but not when these people are bringing harm to the nature.
In all of this chaos, the sight of the moon brought a smile on my face.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
They have their own way of living far from the world we live upon also @nainaztengra. Thanks for sharing!
You are right, and their way of living is good as such, but not everything they do is right.
Thank you for this testimony. I have never witnessed a fire in my life and I thank God. I also believe that, if I had been in your place, I would have been very scared initially, especially for the extent of the fire that you saw. !LUV
It was scary for a moment, fire can spread out fast especially when there is lot of dry grass, and here on the hill it's a mix of both so one can never see when it can turn into a disaster

so sorry to hear that the fire spread out so widely and became uncontrollable. they are very irresponsible to do that, they should only burn what they can control.
stay safe always my friend. I hope that it will be taken care of easily.

It's very difficult to educate these people, they absolutely do not listen to anyone.
This is really sad. This is environmental hazard. And with time even the tribal people will get to regret their actions
True, they are not realizing the impact of their actions right now
It's sad 😢
Nature never betrays where ever you are ...
Here is a warm welcome to you in this day...
Thank you very much...
Thank you
Wow, that's completely irresponsible, I think. I can't really judge because I don't know life there. But one thing is certain, for the environment and ecosystems, it's really not good.
I had seen something similar once. On the one hand, some plants grow better on slash and burn.
But CO2 emissions are too big not to think about!
These people have been informed many times to not do such things, they are doing it very irresponsibly. You never know when this fire can get out of control and destroy their own homes which are on top.
There's always good in the bad or some bad in the good. I think the indigenous people could learn to be more careful when setting up forest fires. Fire can't really be controlled and the wind in such areas can be really powerful too..
That's right, it can cause a disaster in no moments and when I saw this I was feeling scared looking at how fast it was spreading.
Just with a small fire, it already burns almost all the houses in the area.I witnessed a lot of fire incident in the city Ma'am @nainaztengra
Even here in the countryside where I live Ma'am, two houses turns into ashes and some fruit trees because of unattended small fire in the yard.
What the tribe did is really a hazard. I wish the fire department give trainings and seminar about fire safety to the locals in the area.
That's so sad and how irresponsible of people to be doing such things. Here many people do not bother about these things unless it impacts them directly :-(
