Well this week has continued to be eventful and because of recent events, I have been reflecting a lot. It sucks that I can't afford a new heater or an oven, when the need arises. I always have enough for the day to day living, but anything extra, is not easy. But yet, somehow I always get there. But it would be nice, to have things a little easier. But then, I wouldn't get to experience the generosity of others.
The gift of community. So in a way, my life is pretty good, despite it all. I went from thinking, perhaps the universe is trying to tell me to move away from this area. To seeing how very lucky I am, to have a wonderful community around me. People that I now really understand have my back. After finally softening myself.
Yesterday, a wonderful friend of mine, contacted me, she had found an oven for me. The outer glass was missing and it needed a good clean, but it works. Oh I was super happy. Her partner dropped it round to me, just as I was leaving to do some work. We left it outside the truck and he gave me a lift to my work. I had some watering to do and also some gardening.
When I got home later, me and my eldest daughter cleaned it and lifted it into our truck. It was a little bit of a mission, getting it up the 5 steps into our home, but we managed. When we were putting it in place, I noticed how the glass in the door, was actually starting to fall out a bit. But that did not deter me, I was using that oven, no matter what. So I got a small plank of wood and cut it to size, so that it could be jammed against the glass.
And yes it worked. Actually not having the outer layer of glass on the oven, means that it heats up our home more. So what seemed at first as a small disadvantage, actually turned out to be a huge advantage. S finally we don't have to be sitting inside with our coats on.
It was actually, almost cozy last night inside. The girls had pizza and I had some chickpeas and potatoes for dinner. I fancied something more hearty, whilst my girls had been longing for pizza. Warm and bellies full.
Then I sat down to use my laptop. The battery was almost dead so I went to plug it in, so that it could charge. I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing, as it is something I have done so many times. I missed the inlet and instead, hit the HDMI outlet and there were sparks. Followed by a black screen.
That was yesterday, today my screen remains black. So I think I may have fried my laptop. Oh yes, it seems the universe is perhaps laughing at me, so I did what I had to, I laughed back.
I am writing this on my friends old laptop, that has no storage space left, runs really slow and won't allow me to upload any photos onto the laptop itself. I tried to download Telegram, so that I could access my photos, but no, not enough space. So I will be using old photos for this post.
All the photos used in this post are mine.

Thanks you my friend. I'm still on the hunt for one, needs to be cheap, which unfortunately means it probably won't last long. Thinking I might need to start a power down to get one xxxx
You're most welcome, @trucklife-family, absolutely! May an ideal one come your way quickly! If I had spare assets to send you for it I would! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
