We are currently as @blockbrothers in contact with an Android developer to make Steemify for Android for us.
Thursday we have a @blockbrothers meeting where it will be discussed.
Our unique single purpose Steemify server is currently solid as a rock and the Android version will need to communicate with this server. That's the task.
As soon as I know more I'll let you know.
Steemify for iOS has been so well received that we want to explore this route fast.
Steemify allows you to get notified about other important accounts and that's really useful!
Something about Steemify that is often overlooked and was suggested by @rival to put some extra emphasis on is that it is possible to add more than 1 user to get notified about.
That's because Steemify does not require keys only usernames!
I, for instance, have @ned, @steemitblog and @steemitdev added because I want to know when they reply or post something new on the Blockchain straight away! I also have @blockbrothers added because I want to know everything regarding that account at any time.
In this screenshot you can see that for @ned I have selected 'has posted' and 'has replied'. The moment he does any of those things I get notified.

Hmm some say that it might go up others say it is to hard increasing in supply :)
We should not underestimate SBD becoz if you look at the chart, in past it has given many spikes, so who knows what is in store for SBD in future.
By the way till date if anything has given pleasant surprise then it is SBD only.

It is hard to tell which way a crypto will go.
At least we all know about HODL.
Normally SBD should peg to the dollar.
If it is in high demand, it will be the contrary.

It's great to hear your analysis on the SBD situation. I've been selling half of my SBDs as I get my payouts and its been working nicely for powering up and diversifying into fiat and other crypto as well. The STEEM price will inevitably rise throughout 2018 and it just seems logical that as more SBD are printed to make up for the bigger payouts, the SBD price should fall inversely. BUT, as you said, crypto doesn't always act within reason! Thanks for sharing your insights as always!

@exyle Generally Speaking I would agree with keeping half SBD and half STEEM but over the last 6 weeks it was really nice getting a lot more STEEM to Power UP with the expensive SBD's. Thank You and the @blockbrothers for what you are doing to make STEEMIT better Everyday !

Me too! We Geeks I think like Android more because of the potential to tweak our phones... iPhone's were more cool back in 2009 when lots of people did jailbreaks and created interesting Cydia tweaks. But then Apple shut down all the fun... But it's coming back big time!

@exyle and @blockbrothers are doing a great job. Steemify was cool on app store but trust me it would be better on android version. Go High, you guyz have our support.
Thanks for the information on the SBD and Steem relationship. That makes a lot of sense. Essentially the SBD supply increases as the Steem price goes up due the payout.
It's nice hearing that the @blockbrothers is trying to build steemify app for Android. that will be great, because I have read much about the features of the app on iPhone, and will is very good. know you guys are creating it for android am really happy to that, because am a android user.

I'm with you. My friend raves about his iOS version and I can't wait to have the Andriod version. It can't come soon enough.
An excellent idea suggested by the @rival and quite rightly noticed, is that it's very getting noticeable useful, and if it becomes possible right away for multiple accounts, then generally it's fine! You and your team are 100% trying, well done! For the SBD I will answer so if there is an opportunity to save, then I save, but if it is required for any needs for life, then to sell some. Thank you Mark and keep us informed of what's happening!
Can not wait for Android version. I am selling my SBD. I believe at some point STEEM will be worth much more than SBD.

After being on the site for a little over three months most of my SBD has went directly into Steem Power, so I'm thinking long term investing might be the route to go for me. I still have a considerable amount to save before I would consider selling.

I'm really torn on whether to sell or keep SBD. It's supposed to be pegged to a dollar, which means it may not increase very much in the future while Steem will, but who knows what will happen after SBD went past Steem?
I agree that 50/50 is the best option to protect from risk.
Thanks for making this happen! I did a video about the Steemify app after you informed us about it. It's an extremely good app to quickly get the latest updates! It makes it more fun and engaging. Can't wait until the Android version comes out because then I can get Steemit updates on my main smartphone!

I wasn't aware of the Steemify app (maybe because I have an Android), so the possibility of a version for Android is very exciting. I love what so many top users here are doing to help the platform grow. Thanks to you and the @blockbrothers.
As for the SBD, I realize I'm such a small minnow and my opinion might not be worth much here, but I think powering up is the way to go. With SMTs coming I believe the demand for STEEM will continue to grow, and that 6 months from now you might be paying a serious premium for STEEM.

I really like your Steemify app, as it has enabled me to find really good content early. I didn’t realize it hadn’t been developed for Android yet, though. I’m sure those users will be pleased to begin using it when it arrives!

Currently I'm waiting for SBD to drop to below par (1:1) to buy more. Then once it flip flops again use those to power up. Figure this will give me a nice bonus for the steem I purchased to power up with. Not a ton, but have another 100 sitting there right now.
Or if the price of steem drops a bunch for some reason I'll buy more and power up right away. Either way I just want more bang for my buck.
I would love to see the android version of steemify. With regard to SBD or Steem - I clearly prefer Steem (Power) as I think it has the greater potential long term to benefit from the growth of the platform.
I'm always selling my SBD's and using the steem to power up!

Steemify is an amazing tool to get notifications from people you fallow. The only flo I see is that it’s litle delayed. It notifies after at least 1min the post is sent.
It also helps getting any type of notification such as if you got replay, if your username was mentioned, if you got followed, if you got a vote from someone, or if you made any transfers, power down/up, which is an additional security for your account.

Taking some of our SBD out when the price is high makes sense. But isn't it bad for the platform if a lot of it stays out of the steem ecosystem? I'm just a noob and genuinely trying to understand ho this works. 😄
