Morning Sun On The Ancestor Tree and A Little Art

Happy Friday Eve !

It has recently started looking a lot like Christmas around here.

Two years ago I bought this Silvery tree off of Amazon. It wasn't really cheap for a small tree, but it had the look I wanted and when it got here, I wasn't disappointed. I had wanted a tree that could display some family ornaments in a way that you could actually see them well. I did not put lights on it and the only thing besides the ornaments is a garland type string that is kind of like fishing line with various little white bits and tiny round mirrors which I twirled around inside the tree to give it a little extra sparkle and sweetness.

A few of the ornaments belonged to my Great Grandmother, a few belonged to my Grandmother and the bells belonged to my Mother who is still here, but is 90 years old. She didn't use them anymore and passed them on to me. I also hung just a few of my own, that I bought in my late 20s, so they are vintage now too. :) I'm vintage ! I didn't have a topper, so I took the hanger part out of a glass-drop ornament I already had, turned it upside down and slid it onto the top stem. I thought it worked out pretty fine and was in tune with the other glass ornaments.

A couple of mornings ago, when I went into my living area, the tree was glowing as if it had lights, because the morning sun was coming up and shining straight into my front windows. It really delighted my heart and I smiled as I walked through. I'm sure I showed it two years ago (I think I might have), but didn't put it up last year. I waited too long and never got too it, so this year, I put it up first!

I also showed a little contempo tree painting before and another on my Snaps....and now here is the third. The snow is psychedelic sometimes in Jacey's world. :)

My work made me ill this morning. LOL !! aaaargh.....and not long into it I knocked over my tall stainless tumbler of ice water onto the carpet. Of course when it hit the floor, the top bumped off and water and ice went all over. Now I realize I am lucky it was only water, but I still couldn't leave a pool that big just sitting there to soak into the carpet and padding underneath, so I jumped up to get a couple of thick towels and the dust pan to sweep up the ice first....arrrggghhhh....... Even though I only worked 4 hours, by the time three were done, I couldn't WAIT for time to quit.

I know.... spoiled ! I don't like being ill. It is not my happy place. I'm sure I am going to be better now that I'm off. A few chores and a last little bit of decorating and maybe a short nap to regroup. I knew I was really old when I began to love drifting off for a nap. 😂
