LOVE WITH THE BRAIN AND THEN THE HEART

It is true that love is one of the most beautiful feeling on planet earth and it is also true that there is a thin line between love and hate. In the real sense of the word love, no one should love and still be cautious of not being used and discarded but because of the million and one stories we hear, read and experience everyday, loving with the head and then the heart has become the order of the day.

A distant friend got married at a very early age and was opportune to get a good and well paying job through the connection of her father. She was exposed to a lot of opportunities and connections through which she also assisted her husband to be able to earn a good living too. She made a lot of investments, built a lot of hostels for students in different schools in which they pay yearly. She built a mansion in her husbands home town nd built the house in which they lived in back in the city where they resided. Years went by and she couldn't conceive. She begged her husband for them to take the adoption channel. He constantly refused stating that God would give them a child as at when due. Unknown to her, her beloved husband had a number of children from a particular girl outside their marriage and one day the girl came with the children to stay in the house and refused to leave. To cut the long story short, all the investment she had and had built was built under the name of Mr. and Mrs. Daniels instead of Mr. Uche Daniels and Mrs. Uchechi Daniels. She took him to court and he won her as she couldn't prove she was the real Mrs. Daniels and the actual Mrs. Daniels that was referred to in the documents of the investments since the man had married the other woman and she was now Mrs. Daniels too. This woman is back to the village to leave with her parents, retired, broken and old(50s). She however adopted a little girl.

What would you do if your whole life's sweat and hard work has been snatched in the twinkle of an eye? What would you do if the person you have loved and lived with for over 10 years is the architect of your own downfall? The truth is the human mind is dark and desperately wicked. it takes the grace of God to meet the few good ones that actually have a conscience and not stone instead. Please be smart and wise in love. Love is a beautiful thing but please be smart about it. Protect your self and protect your investments.

I hope we all learn from Uchechi Daniels situation by putting our respective names on a document for our investment and avoid the cliché of Mr. and Mrs. God bless us all and prevent us from meeting the ones that will eventually ruin us.
