These truffles combine the sweetness of chocolate and milk with the bitterness of instant coffee and bring a nice touch to any treat.
Ingredients:
- item1 tsp vanilla extract
- item 1 tsp water
- item2 tsp instant coffee granules
- item4 oz. cream cheese
- item12 oz. chocolate chips
- item12 oz. dark chocolate
Method of Preparation:
First prepare the coffee by mixing the granules, water and vanilla extract in a saucer. Put the cream cheese in a large bowl and add the coffee. Melt the chocolate chips in a bowl, in the microwave. Pour it over the cheese and whisk everything with a spatula. Cover the mixture and refrigerate it for 2 hours. Prepare a plateau lined with waxed paper. When the filling is cold and firm, mold round truffles from it, using a teaspoon. Put them on the plateau and refrigerate until the coating is ready. Chop the dark chocolate and melt it in the microwave. Dip each truffle in dark chocolate and put it back on the plateau. Refrigerate for 1 more hour and serve.
