Welcome to my first official Sydney post. I’ve been traveling around Australia for more than 2 months now and have visited many beautiful places already. Besides all the restaurants I’ve been to, there are a lot of sightseeing spots you need to know about.
First stop: Sydneys Darling Harbor
Darling Harbor is a district of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is a large recreational area with numerous of hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, theaters, museums and entertainment centers, and mainly a pedestrian precint.
„Originally named Long Cove, the locality extends northwards from Chinatown, along both sides of Cockle Bay to King Street Wharf 3 on the east, and to the suburb of Pyrmont on the west. Cockle Bay is just one of the waterways that makes up Darling Harbour, which opens north into the much larger Port Jackson.“
The Darling Harbour precinct is home to a number of major public facilities and attractions, including:
Harbourside shopping centre
Chinese Garden of friendship
Tumbaron park
Australian National Maritime Museum
Sydney Aquarium
Madame Tussauds
