Eastern Maine Has Amazing Red Beach Full Of Beautiful Red Granite
Near the town of Red Beach there are mile and miles of unique red granite beaches. Here, you can take a walk, or bike down the shore discovering all the different types of granite. The granite comes from molten lava over the centuries. It forms a red bedrock which breaks into pieces of granite. The slower the lava cooled the more unique red granite it formed. The grain is a lot larger and one side is so clean that it's beauty shines. Some of the nice large chunks of granite are left over from the 1800's and 1900's when there were quarrying operations here. All over the east coast are monuments and buildings made from this fantastic rock.

Is it the same as jade?
Thank you very much for sending SBD to my account.
It's a very hard stone used to build structures that last or floors that don't wear out.

Thank you for the support @afrikanprince
No problem!!
Granite is amazing - it's beauty - its application due to the hardness/density - the patterns.
When I travelled through Scotland a couple of years ago, I came across the city of Aberdeen, the oil capital of Scotland. It's nick name is Granite City - because most original structures were build with local granite... Hard work I'd say...
The color of these rocks reminded me instantly of Jordan's Petra - one of the world wonders... with its granite mountains to the west and its pink color all around.
But Maine will do for now... 😎
@globocop The work and effort there must have been amazing to see.
I haven't been there, yet... @exploretraveler . All in God's time.

Thank you @fkofficials
First off - Thank you so much for the tip! This is such a giving community here on Steemit. My hope is to be able to pass on the generosity! Thank you for beginning this trend for me!
I have been there!!! It is such a unique place. The lava flow is under the ground (So I am told) and the granite actually takes form underground. But the Red Beach is an amazing place to take a walk and see the boulders of granite in its unfinished state. Half the fun of this place is getting there! Maine is an amazingly beautiful state!
