Green Photography Contest:my neighbours’ plants,ต้นไม้ของเพื่อนบ้าน

This is my entry for green photography in #thaiphotocontest67 hosted by @thaiteam. I was so glad to hear about this contest as I wished there were one green photography contest! So this proved I could be psychic at times. This weekend I was spending some time off in the countryside; so I went to visit my neighbours in order to greet my original orange cat who decided to migrate there last year! She left all her daughters and grandkids with me.

My neighbour who is a retired professor at a college in the nearby province just loves gardening and my orange cat! They have now become very good friends. She was eager to show off her new collection of plants to me. These are her newly acquired cacti some of which have just bloomed several days ago. She was very excited by those big and bright colorful flowers. So, I took many photos of her cacti; funny how Thais invented new Thai names for these plants. These names were too ornate and long for me to remember! They sounded like names in Thai fiction.

สุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมาเราไปพักผ่อนที่ต่างจังหวัด หลังจากถูกกักบริเวณมาเกือบสามเดือน เราเรื่มอึดอัดและต้องการอิสรภาพมาก พอไปถึงก็เริ่มรู้สึกดีขึ้นมาก สภาพแวดล้อมต่างจากกรุงเทพฯมาก พลังของธรรมชาติและอากาศดีสุดๆ เราได้เดินเล่นและทำสวน แล้วมีเวลาเดินไปเยี่ยมเพื่อนบ้านที่แมวส้มตัวแรกของเรา ได้ย้ายไปอยู่ด้วย เขายินดีให้เราเล่นกับแมวส้ม แมวมีตวามจำดีมากและเราอุ้มแมวนานเลย เพราะมันชอบมาก เพื่อนบ้านก็อยากอวดต้นไม้ที่ไปซื้อมาใหม่หลายต้น เขาชอบต้นกระบองเพชรมากและตื่นเต้นกับดอกใหญ่สีสดใสที่พึ่งบานไป เราก็ถ่ายรูปมาหลายภาพทีเดียว

These are my next door neighbours who are both retired to spend more time doing gardening and living slow life. I saw her husband, a retired engineer, watering plants in the garden. They often had grandchildren coming for visit and old friends coming for reunion parties. They are so lucky to have such a perfect retirement life style; I am glad they are now very attached to my orange cat. The lady neighbour tended to buy new expensive cacti whenever she saw them in nurseries. Her garden is going to get smaller and smaller as pot plants will take all the space.

เพื่อนบ้านเราตอนนี้รักแมวส้มมาก และชมว่ามันฉลาดมากรู้ภาษาคนทุกอย่าง ดุได้และไม่ดื้อเลย เขาบอกว่าขนาดสามีเขาที่ไม่ชอบแมว ตอนนี้รักแมวมากเช่นกันเพราะแมวเข้าใจภาษาคนทุกอย่างจนเขาทึ่งมาก เราก็ดีในมากที่แมวส้มมีทีพึ่ง และครอบครัวใหม่ที่ดีมาก นับว่ามันเป็นแมวที่มีบุญเก่ามาก เราก็รอว่าเมื่อไรเพื่อนบ้านจะแจกต้นไม้ที่ออกหน่อมากมายจนเหลือเฟือให้เราสักวัน เราคิดว่าคงต้องหาเองกระมัง

I am going to suggest to my neighbours that they should open a plant nursery one day! They could make money out of this hobby In the long run!
