Amazing idea. Steemit is an idea pool. Such a nice place to cool down and jot down itinerant thoughts. Before now, you may have wonderful thoughts that often go undocumented. Thanks to Steemit.

Brilliant idea, @htooms. It's crazy to see just how starved for a real community many of us are. I know I am. The world of Twitter and Facetubes is not about community. It's about conformity.
I can barely stand to look at either platform anymore. And screw Reddit. I never understood that place.
I've spent my entire adult life on the internet (I'm nearly 50) and this is the first place I've been to that actually has people engaged in each other's work.
There is a direct feedback to your work. A blogging platform that isn't trying to stifle creativity with rules and little lords managing their fiefdoms (reddit) or creating a safe space for certain types of politics.
And the system rewards you for your time. For everything you do. And because of that I know I'm out looking for people to follow, read and promote.
I never felt that way on Twitter, Facebook or even Usenet in the Before Time
I agree. I have not touched facetube or youbook in years. We are getting more users here on Steemit. Once people realize what this platform is, there will be no stopping it!

I would use majority of the votes in the introduceyourself category so that new users could get a taste of the magnificence of STEEMIT and the encouragement to become valued members of the platform.
To fulfill my goal of traveling to 6 continents by the age of 40 (I have 4 months left) So far I have South America and Africa left. Help a simple man complete his lifelong goal.
