Hobo Update: It's getting steem-y in here, I've built a rig, and I'm in love

in #steemit7 years ago

I'd like to begin by thanking you for giving me a start. Sorry I'm late.

I'm loving this crypto-world that is opening up. I've begun mining, researching the market, learning about blockchain; I see now what you are so excited about. The next ten years is going to be crazy, folks. Artificial intelligence, space exploration, unfettered communication (like steemit), and now we work towards payment channels and uses, connecting all of it, all of us.

RL cryptokitty sighting.

Let us build a new market these coming years! A new market, as big as the world. My heart explodes with possibilities. Everyday now, I read genius ideas from enthusiasts like you that inspire me to participate in the immense creativity of humankind. It helps towards ridding yourself of the despair of politics and news, too.

I'll be working right beside you the whole time. I'm in this.

Speaking of, I must thank my beautiful and supportive girlfriend. Yes, Juice is settled down. Feels good. She's shy and small and adorable and I love her. She supports me deeply from her heart everyday, and inspires me to love those around me more. So yea, thank you Stephanie.

I drew her in paint, I can't wait to show her this post.

And you, steemit! It's been almost a year since I left for Hobo Adventure. From hobo to housewife in under a year. It doesn't get much better than this.

How about some stats on that rig you built? If you're going to post computer porn, do it right! :)

LOL.
You know what, you're right. I should do a write up of my experience of building the rig. It's nothing special yet, but the electric is cheap here and the market is high. I'm estimated to make 3500USD first year at current market (about 60mh/s ethash, 889h/s equihash with 2 GTX1070's). Those numbers are before I install this rx580 I picked up yesterday. Still waiting on the riser card to show up. But I cheated and its totally game-capable. Also I'm a nooblet, so my overclock game is being worked on.

Posting a full write up (including anecdotes) sounds pretty fun, I'll do that soon.
