Working with sensitive information everyday myself I think it's good that everyone is now head over heels for the data protection thing!
It's time for the users to feel empowered AND to be in control of their information.
Also, there's one funny thing: it's a great way to know what websites you have ever registered on (especially if you have a few or very old inboxes), since all of them are requiring your permission to use your data 😃

Thanks for your response, @tinymischiefs! :)
With grand adoption, comes the responsibilities. I believe that although the platform is "decentralized", not everything wil be allowed.
This is true. Good to see you around, buddy! :)
I like to think it's a good thing. It protects them but in a way also us, the users! Should have been done already if you ask me! So, me personally I think its good BUT, I am just a snek!
Haha Well thanks for your thoughts, Snek! :D
Everything is fine, @rigaronib. No reason to worry :)
Haha No worry here!
While the blockchain itself might be beyond legal reach the company setup to develop it isn't. So they have to comply with laws.
It's not a big issue .
