My @mrbloom account was hacked today by @good-kama - from a website link I stupidly clicked on (steewit.com) They stole what little SBD I had in my account to promote my music, and have now powered down my account! They have also spammed hundreds of posts and placed my @mrbloom account into negative reputation which, I spent hours upon hours increasing with good quality content for this thriving online community.
I'm saddened and angered by this act of sheer greed, spite, malice and unprovoked attacking of a good human being and dedicated musician which happens to be... ME! So I wish to rant about it here with my NEW account, that has been lovingly and supportively created for me by my @helpie family...

All of those days I spent until the early hours of the morning, creating music to post, Open mic videos, photography and my beautiful family posts have been shit on from a great height by a HACKER called @good-kama, with absolutely no morals or understanding of how hard us Steemians work to engage with this community. They have now blacklisted my account and ruined everything I had worked hard for!
Here's where my account stands as of now:

My account got hacked too, last week. I received a fake comment from @kilbride (who ISN’T the hacker) and I clicked the link inside. SteemIt asked me to log in - which was nothing weird, as it had been happening all the time - so I did.Seconds later, I was locked out if my account. The SBD was gone, and the powering down had started. My reputation score went back to -1.
Once the hackers had access to my account, they used it to send out 30 of their phishing comments. This means 30 people and all their followers were put at risk because of a comment with my name on it.
The fact that your reputation score has been brought down to a negative score, is because someone over at @steemcleaners has been trying to minimize the risk by flagging all phishing comments that have been sent from your account. By flagging them, those comments become invisible to others, which minimizes the chance somebody clicks one of the phishing links.
I’m not sure how many comments were sent through your account, but there’s a big chance you can have your account ánd you reputation score back up. I managed to, however it took some work.
Once I had regained access to my account, the people over at steemcleaners advised me to edit all the comments that were sent to make them harmless. So I spent a couple of hours replacing the text of the phising comments with ‘comment deleted’.
Once I was done, they removed all flags, which brought my reputation back up.
The people who had flagged the phishing comments individually were contacted by some of my friends. Once the situation had been explained, they took back their flag too. So, now I have both my account (with all my followers) and my reputations score back to normal.
Just thought I’d let you know this, so you wouldn’t necessarily lose what you worked so hard for'

However swiftly they were able to swipe your hard-earned SBD and obliterate your 'reputation', those are just imaginary numbers, really. The true value you bring to this platform is well-known and appreciated. Just watch...you're about to experience a tsunami of heartfelt support that I guarantee will far outweigh the awfulness you've just been subjected to.

As I said on Discord I no longer get angry at people who do this to other human beings. They will never feel the joy that one gets from helping others and the love that is returned in doing so. I could not imagine going through my whole life trying to buy happiness by ripping people off. What a sad existence that must be.

So sorry to hear about this, I helped a friend @enjoywithtroy who experienced the same thing, as you are aware. I am surprised that they are still operating. @good-kama that is. I'm not sure how much good it will do but, we contacted blocktrades fraud department for what it was worth. Is the power down that is being done on your old account now under your control? DarrenHey @simplymike thanks for the information mate! This comment tells what I did perfectly. I actually did all of those things and sat for 4 hours yesterday editing and deleting. I counted over 150 phishing comments that were sent from my @mrbloom account. Prior to this I had spoken to a witness on steemit chat. @guiltyparties advised to do exactly what you mentioned which has been a massive help.

I must admit I started this comment because I thought you were accusing the ‘good-karma’ account for posting a phishing comment on one if your posts.
I wrote this post-length comment, explaining that the one from whose account the comment was posted was not the hacker. When I re-read your post, I noticed I had fallen into the same trap again. That’s how smart the hackers are. I read ‘goodkarma’ instead of ‘good-kama’. Fortunately, this was a mistake without consequences :0)
All I had to do was erase my one single comment - lol.
The more I hear, the more I think I was very fortunate having only 30 comments to edit. I edited them all, and then sent out a personal message to each one of those people, apologizing for being so stupid to get hacked. It took me ages.... Fortunately, most of them were very understanding :)
I’m going to make a post out of this later today, because it seems like the attack is still making victims every day.
Since I initially had no idea where to go or what to do, it might come in helpful for others.
See how easy it was to get fooled? I'm glad you only had a few comments to deal with... 150 was excruciatingly annoying, coupled with the fact I have RSI too makes for a painful mistake! Let's take this to the next level Mike... Use what ever pieces here from my original post and comments etc.
It will be a great guide for us all in the future.

It looks like they were trying to possibly imitate or impersonate "@good-karma", who is a Steemit Witness. Sorry this happened to you. I'm glad you shared this. It kind of goes to show that even with Cryptocurrency you can still be vulnerable.

Something that I do when I see spammers or get reports like this of people hacking I just go to that profile and mute them, that way you won't see their spam messages ever again!

So, I just sat my kids down (14 and 11) and showed them exactly what had happened and talked to them about phishing and password security and never clicking links etc. Dochka knew of phishing as they've done it school, but snok didn't know (he's in last year of primary).
I'm super stoked to hear that you're not throwing in the towel and rising again phoenix style. Using this as a means of education is the right way to go and more power to you for making that call. You could quite easily have rage quit man. Well done to you for having the inner power to rise again.

I'm so sorry you were hacked. I was hacked in December but minnow support helped me recover my key and change my password to stop a power down of over 640 SP. It's terrible what happened to you. You will rise again

There are bad people out there, but we have to remember that for every bad person, there are a dozen good people there ready to help. You got to see the worst of someone, but I hope you leave this situation remembering the good that you saw afterwards. I also believe that those people are not happy in life as they most likely are surrounded by others just as dark as themselves and are constantly cheated and lied to in real life thus negating any happiness they think they'll get. I wish you luck and know that you will create what you one had and surpass it...and you will still be surrounded by other good people like you and fill your life with love.
I absolutely couldn't agree more! They are very lost in this world of greed and wealth, but to steal it from those who have worded tirelessly at their craft is disgusing behaviour. Damn! What happened to you is awful, I hope you can recover your account! I resteemed your post and will also tweet it and tell people about it in my network. I came across that steewit site once, when I was doing a google search on some steemit post. At the time, I thought It was some sort of parody account. Lucky for me I was logged out of Steemit then. Just to think of what those A-Holes are doing makes me furious! I hope they get struck by lightning! Thank you SO very much for this warning. I will take heed and also, I RECOMMEND EVERYONE STOPS USING THEIR MASTER KEY to log in steem connect or other apps and USE THEIR ACTIVE KEY or POSTING KEY INSTEAD! Safety comes first! Thanks for your supportive words! I've luckily had help to successfully build this account up. W all need to be extra vigilant as the hackers are on the prowl I have since started logging on with my active posting key and I suggest others do the same. I have access to my dsound tracks again so all is not lost, just my pride and my high rep score of 55.
