Impact of Hard Fork 19

So, how will the latest Hard Fork affect Steemit. The reception from users in general has been overwhelmly positive (based on the posts I have read). The reward distribution is still proportionate to Steem power but now the relationship is more balanced.

But what about the Steemit platform as viewed by the outside world Andy investors (many of whom will be active users of Steemit).

Looking at the price change over the last 24 hours you might conclude that this has not been viewed well by the market.

The Steemit price change over the last 24 hours is shown below (courtesy of coinmarketcap) and shows an 8% drop since this time yesterday.

My view on this is that swings of this magnitude are very typical of cryptocurrencies and what we are seeing is not an underlying trend or market reaction, it's just plain noise!

I am very confident this change is going to have an positive effect on the price and I can't see why it wouldn't. Steemit is about people, sharing incredible content and being part of a community. Hard Fork 19 will:

  • Draw more people to the platform due to the more equal but fair Reward Structure

  • More user mean more content and more content means more to pick from and richer bank of content

  • both of then above will carry Steemit forward and this movements can only be a positive thing once the integrity and values of Steemit are maintained.

So, give it a few days and hopefully the outside world will see how this change will take Steemit to the next level.

Thank you for reading.

Will the inflation rate remain 9.5% p.yr.?

I hope it will all be okay !

If we continue to look at the value of Steemit based on the people and the content, then of price will continue to climb!

Keep Steeming!

Yes, swings of this magnitude are very typical of cryptocurrencies. So... no stress :)

Great analysis

I was trying to speculate and its just too difficult. The key is that if things start to fall, not to panick. Lots of people believe in the platform and lots more are joining to support it every day.

Or try to short the coin?

Enjoy navigating the market noise

I don't think HF has had any affect on the price of steem yet. It's too new still.. But it will be a beneficial affect in the end

Man this are so exciting times to be on steem and see the change. This will certainly attract more people here!

The changes are beneficial. More rewards for low power users will attract more new users and grow the platform for the benefit of all.

Hope so. I think thar Steem can dip short-term due to flow of new earned SBDs from a minnow army. But longterm Steem will get us to the moon.

I dont think so, because People will be motivated to Increase Steem Power.

Like me 😜

Obviously it wasn't rosy for other platform like Fb, Google and the likes they grow there.

If growth is too exponential it pops at some point and stagnates but steem is growing through with the normal growth parameters and it will stabilize with a steady growth curve as the community gets bigger.

I share your opinion. cool!

Also the people that posted before who Did not get a lot of rewards and stopped posting because they gave up will be more enthousiastic to stay and post more!

Steem is very cheap compared to other cryptos that have nothing interesting about them, at least not a social platform. It's also out of shitcoin price range and into the range where coins start to climb fast. There will be ups and downs but I'd say keep at least some of your steemit earnings in Steem.

That pic on this post is everything :)

Nice post

I think the more fair rewards system is going to draw in even more people/keep people engaged even more!
