RE: SPS Governance Proposal - Hire Clayboyn as DAO Community and Project Manager

in #spsproposallast year (edited)

Hi Yaba,

I fully support both the proposal in general and that @clayboyn is ideal as the first holder of the role of DAO Manager, but would welcome some additional clarity on a few points.

  1. How exactly can the dao hire anyone?

  2. What is its legal standing?

  3. I understood the Singapore foundation was supposed to represent the dao?

  4. "It is extremely important that we increase and maintain the separation between the DAO and the Splinterlands company". Again, totally agree, but with that in mind, completely fail to understand how either Splinterlands tournament creation or Discord management can be the responsibility of the dao?

  5. I have had a lot of jobs, and both founded and/or managed several businesses in the creative industries. Based on the job description, this only sounds like a part time job to me. Either way, could we get greater clarity on the duties, commitment, terms, and hours.

  6. The average personal income in the USA is $63,214 and the median household income is $74,580 so $60.000 seems too high.

  7. Given whatever pay is finally approved, X% a year of our non-Splinterlands assets is significant. How can we create fiat income for the dao?

Apparently clayboyn is based in Thailand too so 60k is basically the equivalent salary of 3+ full stack developers.
