1- Mosquitoes love sweet skin.

FALSE! They like smells, heat and CO² cleared! The more you sweat, the more carbon dioxide you release and the more mosquitoes will be attracted to your skin. A good shower just before sleeping can limit the damage =). Their favorite targets are overweight people, pregnant women or people who have been drinking. And they are very strong at this little game there since scientists believe that they can capture the CO² more than 20 meters away! the small ... malignant ... grrrrrr
They would also have a preference for certain blood groups. They would bite twice as many people with blood type O as A.

2- Mosquitoes are not dangerous.

FALSE! It is the most deadly species in the world !!!
Indeed, it carries and transmits deadly diseases such as malaria, dengue fever or yellow fever. In 2014, experts estimated that 725,000 mosquito victims each year (in front of the 475,000 victims due to humans and the 50,000 due to the snake). In comparison, the shark is responsible for 10 deaths per year (small player!).

3- Mosquitoes bite especially at dusk.

FALSE! There are more than 3,000 mosquito species and each has a different behavior. There are those who are active from dusk until dawn and others, like the tiger mosquito, responsible for the risk of transmission of dengue, chikungunya and zika in metropolitan France, sting rather by day. It is recommended to protect yourself all day, if you are in a risk area.

4- Better to wear black clothes not to attract them.

FALSE! On the contrary, it turns out that mosquitoes have a preference for dark clothes. We must therefore favor loose, covering and clear clothing. If you are in a tropical zone, there are products to soak your clothes.

5- Scratching will lessen the itchy feeling.

FALSE! The more you scratch your sting, the more you want to scratch. Why? Because this mechanical action will spread mosquito saliva on your skin, and so itch you even more and also double the size of the mosquito button. Bad idea! Better to immediately apply pure Alor vera (100%), I assure you that it calms quickly and it's natural! =)

People are tired of mosquitoes in the rural areas of India.

Tnx For your Article. I know many thing about MOSQUITOES!!

Another small fact.
Mosquitoes do not spread HIV.

They seem to love me... wherever I go ! I’m currently in Thailand and it’s not quite as bad as I would have imagined but I’m still getting bit quite a bit... I’m fit, healthy, in shape and don’t drink... so who knows why they love me so much!! My ankles and neck itch right now haha!

However when I was in New Jersey once I was getting eaten alive! My friends were not getting a single bite I was covered.... I won’t forget that :/

mosqoto.jpg truths revealed..nooo...!!!

I use citronella to get rid of them

Thank you for the tips!!! I'm lucky and they are not too attracted to me but when I was in Florence I got a few very annoying bites that became swollen even without scratching. I was a bit afraid as it looked infected but after a week it disappeared so I didn't have to look for a medical advice. Lucky me!

I feel already itchy and nervous when I see them. We are very big enemies. They hunt me all time and I do the same :D

The mosquitoes not only bother for their bites but also for annoying buzzing.

For the Anopheles Mosqitoes, scratching tends to relieve my itch😀😀😀😀😀

Wow! Trending already :D

It was informative as well as enjoyable to read. @flamingirl thanks for the English version.
