I haven't managed to get a run in for around 10 days now, because I've been ill, poor me, today is the first day I've felt vaguely normal, and as luck wouldn't have it I've had some fillings at the dentist, so I've spent today with a numb mouth and now that odd miss fitting teeth feeling.
Anyways, I SHOULD be able to get out for a good old run tomorrow, hopefully, i'll just go for a 5K, and I've got some new inspiration....
A massive GPS cock and balls....
Terry Rosoman, a marketing director from South Wales recently used Strava to post the largest ever cock and balls to rasie money for men's mental health.
He ran 75 miles through the Brecon Beacons on 1st and 2nd November 2024, from Abergavenny, Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell and Llangenny....
I mean this is no mean feat, it's not only a very decent ultra marathon distance, there's A LOT of elevation involved here, the area's pretty local to me so I know it, and this is a pretty impressive run even if he hadn't have done it for the cock and balls world record.
He ran through the night and everything, quite mental, in November, that would have been pretty damned miserable, at least he said it was, basically damp mist and pitch black for a lot of it.
He doesn't say a lot about his support team, I assume he didn't do this alone but I can't imagine he had much support along the way! He did run it with one other person! And it seems to be along well established smaller roads for the most part!
If you want to make a donation, you can do so at the above link, it's all in aid of a good cause, and just shows you that you don't have to be a natural runner to achieve something pretty amazing!
I note that he's raised just over £10K, I think he deserves a little more!

LOL...well, if you wanna be a world record holder in something, you may as well make a statement doing it :D
Talk about making it 'hard'. That's epic.
Hahaha, it is pretty good, I'm surprised he's gone quiet after, I don't think he's got anywhere near the credit he deserved.
A good symbol to draw attention to men's mental health :)
