Yesterday I arrived in Germany and I will be here for a week. I came mainly to see my son, whom I haven't seen for almost a month and a half, and also to arrange some paperwork.
I made the trip by plane and from the airport in Italy there were things that surprised me. The first was that it was no longer mandatory to wear masks inside the airport. There were many people with masks on, but I am very sure that many did it because they thought it was mandatory or simply because they were used to it.
For me it was quite a liberation, which was only momentary because when trying to board the plane to Berlin they demanded to have an FP2 mask on. It was something completely incomprehensible and meaningless. Most of us were waiting without a mask but in order to enter the plane you had to have it and it had to be exactly that type.
I thought it was a German rule. It was the only thing that made sense at the time. But imagine my surprise when I arrived in Berlin, after a trip with the mask on, when I saw people without masks. At the Berlin airport it is also not mandatory to wear masks. It's "recommended" which is quite a different word.
Apparently it is mandatory to wear a mask only on public transport such as buses, trains and of course, also planes. It is a totally meaningless measure but... what has made sense for more than two years?
Anyway I've always tried to go without a mask as much as possible.
And going back to what I'm going to do here, tomorrow my son arrives and we'll spend the weekend together. I hope the weather is good so we can go out on the bike for a while. We will surely play a lot of Fortnite too. That is something we do even when I am in Italy.
The rest of the time will be to organize some paper things but that's something I started doing since I arrived yesterday. It's not like I have a lot of time.😅
And of course, this week is also going to be a bit like a vacation from all the work I've been doing on the beach.
Heyy, hola! You also don't live in Berlin anymore??
Where are you now, in Italy?
Times are a-changing.. ;)
Hope all is well!
Hey! I do not live in Berlin since 2 years because I move to Postdam :) Italy is because of my girlfriend. And of course, in summer I am here all the time …. better food, better weather, better everything ;)
Glad to hear from you and yes, times are a-changing and crazy
Yes I still remember you moved to Potsdam! I'm just on the other side of Italy right now, in Croatia. Have been hiding from the crazy world mainly in Bulgaria over the past couple of years :)
