Welcome my lovely Steemit family

In this series we will be exploring some of the most unique and exciting culinary experiences at fabulous destinations from across the world.

Today join me in Dubai at the Burj Khalifa. All Photos are taken with my Nikon D5300. Follow me and let’s see what we got up to.

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai at 828m (2,717 feet) with an incredible 163 floors is the world’s tallest building. It dwarfs the closest competitor in Shanghai by an amazing 700 feet. I was so excited to marvel at this glorious structure.

I arrived ahead of time at the Burj Khalifa to make sure to get as many fabulous photographs at these incredible heights as possible.

At.mosphere at the Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest restaurant located on the 122nd floor at 442m (1,450ft). It is split into three, the elegant restaurant, the exclusive private dining room and a casual lounge.

From here you can truly appreciate the awe-inspiring panoramas of Downtown Dubai and the Arabia Gulf. The photos are much better at this level than at the top on the 148 floor being much closer to the action.

Towering over the fabulous Burj Al Arab, the third tallest hotel in the world. This photo puts into perspective how high we actually are!

After taking the lift back down we enter the Armani Hotel Dubai, the world’s first hotel designed and developed by Giorgio Armani. It reflects pure elegance, simplicity and sophistication that encapsulates Armani’s style.

Every detail is perfectly designed from the Eramosa stone floors to the zebrawood panels.

Time for a quick cup of Arabic tea. Delicious

I had some time before dinner at the Armani Hotel's Signature restaurant, perfect timing to enjoy the magical fountain display after sunset. I ventured to find a nice place overlooking the Dubai Fountain.

It cost an incredible Dh 800 million (US$217 million) to construct - nothing comes cheap in Dubai. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 50 coloured projectors, it shoots 150m water into the air, accompanied by Arabic and Western music. What a magnificent spectacle.

I sat on the deck enjoying magical show, sipping on my fresh strawberry milkshake. Scrumptious. I can’t remember the last time I had such an incredible strawberry milkshake. Made to perfection, with fresh real sweet strawberries. Not overly creamy that we are used to in ice cream parlours.

The beautiful lighted up Burj Al Arab dominates the sky line from here. A very different picture compared to the previous one from the 122 floor of the Burj Khalifa

There are an array of restaurants to choose from in the Burj Khalifa. However Armani’s Signature Ristorante is the one to visit. This is truly Dubai's number one Italian restaurant, if you are a lover of Italian food's then this is the place for you.

Now to the food at Armani's Ristorante, located on the ground floor of the Burj Khalifa.

Upon arrival you immediately realize why this restaurant is voted the best Italian restaurant for 3 years in a row now. The ambiance, comfort and layout of the entire bar and restaurant is nothing less than exquisite. The interiors are spectacular, ambient lighting with sylish comfortable leather booths.

The first thing you notice is the glass walled, open kitchen with at least 12 chefs running about.

After being seated at our table, the head chef, Alessandro Salvatico, made time to come and talk to us.
We opted for his recommendation and the restaurant's signature dishes, which was the perfect exemplification of Italian cuisine at its finest.

The food was superb and the service was impeccable, respectful and discrete. The type of restaurant where you must eat exceedingly slowly and appreciate each mouthful and explosion of flavours.

This is an occasion restaurant and so how perfect to hold the first part of my birthday.

The signature dish of the restaurant is the Mushroom risotto with extra truffle shavings

Delicious combination of flavours and textures that strike the perfect balance between bitter and sweet, crunchy and creamy.

I had the Risotto Scampi, with watercress, langoustine and “Bottarga”

The artistic presentation was so impressive, it was difficult to ruin the display by eating it.

Last to the ""signature dessert". It was amazing. It is a magnificent culinary masterpiece which is not on the menu, the La Sfera, sugar sphere filled with coconut mousse, mango chutney, coconut crumble and passion fruti.

This is handmade with absolute care and the taste was out of this world, if are lucky enough to visit the Armani Ristorante you must order this, you will be left shocked by the presentation and flavours.

Party continues at At.mosphere lounge and more delicious cake. Never can have too much cake. Lucky me.
