Hello everyone

Every morning before my daughter goes to school, my daughter and I always have our favorite activity together, which is to look at the small vegetable garden that I planted in front of my house. Most of the vegetables I plant are leafy vegetables such as Chinese kale and other vegetables, which I have been planting since the beginning of the rainy season.

But recently, I have been having a small problem because I noticed that my kale and other vegetable plants do not look very strong, the young shoots are wilted, and there seems to be fungus on the stems and leaves.

So my daughter and I tried to find more information on the internet, and we found that the cause of my kale and other vegetables growing on the raft is probably due to 2 main factors:

  • Lack of nutrients, because all plants need nutrients to grow. If there is a lack of certain nutrients, the leaves may turn yellow or get sick.
  • Too much fertilizer, applying too much fertilizer can also be harmful to plants because it can burn the roots or cause salt accumulation in the soil, which will affect the absorption and nutrients of the plants. The information I have gained has allowed my daughter and I to learn new things about growing vegetables, and I will use the knowledge I have gained to improve and take care of my vegetable garden.

  • The aroma of fresh coffee brewed by my wife spread throughout the house. When my wife served breakfast, my daughter and I walked back to the sofa in front of the house, sipping hot coffee with crispy toast on the outside, soft on the inside, topped with fragrant pandan custard made by my wife with a warm aroma of pandan leaves. 1-2 fried eggs. As for my daughter's menu today, it looked just as bright, with her favorite fried rice with eggs, served with crispy pandan custard toast and finished with a glass of warm fresh milk. Today's fruit salad was papaya and mango. It helped prepare for school in the morning. This kind of breakfast is what gives me energy.

After sending my daughter to school, I walked back to my vegetable garden again. Today, I feel special with my brother and I because I want to develop my vegetable garden again. Recently, I am more interested in growing organic vegetables because I want to have organic vegetables for my family to eat. After studying a lot of information, I have new ideas to apply to my vegetable garden, such as improving the vegetable garden, which is to mix unfertilized soil with the original soil on the platform so that the fertilizer I used earlier can be spread more evenly. I also plan to buy some good quality vegetable soil to add more nutrients to the soil and prepare for planting new vegetables. For the vegetables that I will plant this time, I think I will plant morning glory, spring onions, and coriander because they are easy to grow and grow quickly. They can be used in many dishes. I took a picture of the eggplant tree. Have you noticed that insects have eaten the leaves of my eggplant tree until there are holes? I don't spray my eggplants. I leave them to nature, but I can still eat them. The eggplant tree bears fruit often. The chili tree is also flowering. The tree is big and plump. As for the coriander plant planted on the platform, it seems to have a disease. The condition of the coriander is not beautiful at all. It is wilted, but it is not dead. It has been like this for 1 week. But fresh chilies are no problem. They look plump and healthy and have bloomed.
Planting vegetables on raised beds. I planted vegetables on the first raised bed. Mostly, I get to eat morning glory. As for other vegetables, I have to take a chance. But I am proud that I have done it and I am learning new things all the time. I believe that I can grow organically.
I will try to learn how to grow vegetables. Today, I have to say goodbye. See you in the next post. Thank you for your support.
