Two weekends ago we went camping and hiking near Marshall Lake in Arizona. This is a great place to do some "free" camping in the great state of Arizona.
We hiked around Marshall Lake. Most people would not recognize this as a lake (see Google satellite imagery) ... but give us a break - it's Arizona.
I posted some photos taken with my Google Pixel XL phone last week.
Here are some photos I took with my Canon Powershot G7 X Mark II.
O Purple Mountains Majesty.
Marshall Lake is only a small area compared to the "lakebed".
Cattle drinking water and an old barn.
I think the HDR mode takes really nice pictures. These are all handlheld (or taken using a post or rock for stability) even though you're supposed to use a tripod.
Info about the ducks. No HDR mode.
Autumn in Northern Arizona.
Love this view of the lake, clouds, moutains, grass and the shadows of trees.

I did not use HDR mode for this shot. Notice the striking difference in the colors.

Great pictures! As I have already told it to @jrcornel, I am missing this region of the US ( the 'red' region as I like to call it :p).
Thank you for sharing! I love Arizona and I haven't seen an area like that! I think I need to go back and explore more.
:^)
Thanks for the upvotes so far everyone, especially @ned @val-b @smooth @reno-hq @lafona-miner @wang and @anyx!
