You will never know what's your limit until you take a challenge and learn from it. And yes, this experienced gave me a lesson that you should not let yourself interceded by fears. Yes, fears which are created only by your thoughts.

Skydive Dubai Palm Drop Zone

Jumping out of the plane above 13,000 feet will never be an idea for someone not unless you're adventurous and you don't have that so-called thing "Fear of Heights". Well, I am adventurous and I don't fear heights but the idea of jumping out of the plane and not sure if later on, the parachute opens up freaks me out. I booked my Tandem Skydive (Palm Dropzone) online at Skydive Dubai website mid-June and due to the weather, my flight always get rescheduled. Finally, on 27th January 2016, few days before my 24th birthday, I got my scheduled and thank goodness, the sky was clear and the weather was perfect!

Tandem Schedule

Since I lived in Abu Dhabi, an hour travel from Dubai, I have to wake up early as I have to reached there an hour before my flight (10am) for the short briefing, positions and guidelines of the Do's and DONT's. On my way to the drop zone, my heart was pumping so fast but I was feeling excited until they got me sign on a many pages waiver. That was my first time to see and sign a waiver that was like a book. This strucked me and made me felt so anxious, pretty scared and nervous. So I signed and we were on our way up to the sky and there's no turning back. I was as scared as the rat being chased by the cat and I was praying to God deep inside to have our parachute open after we jumped.

Finally, the green light turned on and that's the signal that we're ready to go. Jo, my pilot in the tandem, led me to the door. I was attached to him so I was a bit confident then positioned me, and had me looked up, and he said I'll count to three then we'll jump. So... 1... Jump...! I was like, man you said 3 not 2!

Finally! the parachute opened and realisation hits me. That was not scary at all. It was totally fun and a memorable experience anyone could have. The fears were gone and I abundantly enjoyed watching the creation of God and the beauty of Dubai!

FEAR IS INEVITABLE BUT DEEP COURAGE AND TRUST IN YOURSELF CAN DEFEAT IT! LEARN TO LET GO OF WHAT'S SCARING YOU. GO OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE. EXPLORE WHAT IS NEXT TO THAT HORIZON. REMEMBER, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!
