Tesla's CEO and co-founder Elon Musk was another victim of the constant attacks that have been on Twitter. He had his account hacked and checked on the platform. According to the CCN, in a publication on Saturday (25), the invaders took advantage of Musk's fame and the number of followers (22.5 million) and started a free offer of Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The blow, very common lately, begins with the appearance of a fake account on the platform. The scammer leaves her visually resembling that of someone famous and then announces that she is giving some kind of crypto for free, but to earn, user is persuaded to send a certain amount before.
The first indications that this was not the true profile came when Musk began giving tips on crypto-coins, stating that in a reorganization of the company, planning includes Bitcoin and Ethereum as a method and payment for the investor to move forward, which suggested that in this way the user could be a member of Tesla.
The situation was divided between enthusiasts and skeptics, between novices and experts. Some fell in love with the idea while others called it a thief and some questioned how the user managed to get a verified account.
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, tycoon John McAfee and even President Trump have already been victims of illegal use of username and often with the account verified by the network.
A person creates a fake account of someone famous or a big company and, moved by a robot, this fake account begins to comment on publications of high relevance publicizing some blow, as if it were the famous person / company that was doing. In this way, they often get bitcoin and ethereum by deceiving people.
