Songs of Nostalgic "My Eyes" The Lumineers

in #music7 years ago (edited)

Beautiful song from an awesome band that know how should sound a song to be strong but at the same time nostalgic. They can fuse two things indispensable to reach this feeling, amazing lyrics and a dreamy melody.

Like Billy Rosenbeck said:

"The Lumineers write songs with pores, songs that age, and songs can sustain meaning—or diversify meaning—over the course of years"

That's why I bring this song here. Perfect to relax or search inpiration. In both ways, enjoy it.

By the way I think I'm leaving here the play list that I hear when I want to write things with this vibe. You can try to. we keep touch!

"My eyes"

Oh, the devil's inside
You opened the door
You gave him a ride
Too young to know, too old to admit
That you couldn't see how it ends

What did you do to my eyes
What did you sing to that lonely child
Promised it all but you lied
You better slow down baby soon
It's all or nothing to you

The glow of Hollywood signs
They sold you a bridge
They fed you the lines
You always confused your servants for friends
But you couldn't see how it ends
It's all or nothing to you

What did you do to my eyes
What did you say to my only child
Promised your love but you lied
You better slow down baby soon
It's all or nothing to you

What did you do to my eyes
What did you sing to that lonely child
Promised it all but you lied
You better slow down baby soon
