Rafly Kande Apparently Never Rejected 20 Music Producers

BANDA ACEH -Rafly Kande is currently one of the most recognized musicians in Aceh. His name has penetrated the national and even international music. But who would have thought, the beginning of his journey in the world of music full of obstacles hurdles.

In the seminar of the Association of Indonesian Communications Graduate (ISKI) Aceh, Thursday, November 26, 2015, Rafli who became the speaker recounted the beginning of his journey as a musician Tanah Rencong. He remembers the hard times when he started his career. His first solo album was even denied to 20 record houses.

"There are twenty more producers will not accept (songs) me. Because the singer is said to look old, "said Rafli.

Rafly said it was around the beginning of 2002, when he first tried to get into the world of music by making solo albums with musician Moritza Taher (Momo) whom he knew as his best friend. The solo album that tells of the conflict and the orphan was titled "Hasan and Husein" and recorded in Momo's studio in Kampung Keuramat, Banda Aceh.

In the solo album Rafly is supported by a number of renowned poets of Aceh, such as Panton's father, Medya Hus, also Syeh Lah Bangguna. Unfortunately, no producer interested in the solo album. In fact he has offered to 20 music producers.

At one point, Rafly meets Sheikh Ghazali LKB. He is an Aceh song producer at Kamoe Sajan Gata or better known as Kasga Reord. Sheikh Ghazali appreciates the solo album that is still in the master's form worth Rp 11 million.

The album "Hasan and Hussein" then exploded in the market. This album became the beginning of Rafly known to all of Aceh as a singer with a loud voice and carry the genre of ethnic music.

One of the songs that was very popular at the time was "Ya Rabbana". The song with a sad tone is increasingly popular when a backsound tsunami news after the catastrophe ripped Aceh.

The success of the first album berimbas on subsequent albums. His album with Kande with the theme "The Fighting Spirit" in 2002 even managed to sell up to 50 thousand tapes. One of the popular songs of the album is "Seulanga".

Up to now, Rafly has been recognized as one of Aceh's most successful musicians. He has often filled national and even international events, including the opening of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015, the biggest and oldest book festival on earth in October.
