My Review of The Daniel Tosh Show (Tosh.O Star) at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas

The Build-Up

There are a lot of reasons people move to the city of Las Vegas

Whether it’s because of the housing this town offers or just the social aspect of all the major casinos, I am looking forward to being in the center of the entertainment capital of the world!

I feel like all the major shows will come to me since I live here and I’m doing my best to take advantage of it by seeing all the acts I have on my bucket list

Well last week was a big event for that list as Daniel Tosh was coming to town!

I’ve been a fan of Tosh before he had his Tosh.O show on comedy central and I actually saw him in 2004 while I was in college.

I hate to sound like one of those guys who claims they were a fan of someone before they were famous but this was the case.

If I could gain access to my Myspace profile (yes I'm dating myself)  you would see a few posts of me telling my friends to watch his new show Tosh.O on comedy central because I feel like he was one of the funniest comedians on the market.

Since I’ve moved to Las Vegas, I think I’ve been to the strip three times and all those occasions were to see shows. I’m not shocked because I don’t think any locals really hit the strip up like you think.

There are plenty of casinos off the strip to play cards or to get your gamble on so going to the strip is just a hassle.

Tosh was performing at the Mirage in the Terry Fator Theater so I was excited to check that out because I’ve heard nothing but good things.

Too bad I can’t completely agree with all the things I’ve heard.

While the theater itself was nice (as far as how the stage looked and the way the seats were set up), but the set up was horrible.

There were no bathrooms near the actual theater and you had to walk out and walk across the lobby.

The bar line was worse than the actual line to get into the theater, and I dropped $16 bucks on two waters.

It is what it is and I wasn’t really thrown off by that, but the fact that there were about 60 people in line and four people serving those in line seemed kind of dumb in my opinion.

The TOSH.SHOW

The name of the tour was “Tosh.Show” and it made sense the way the lineup was set up.

It started off with Daniel doing about 15 minutes of stand up, then he would bring out another guest and they would do their stand up.

Since I’m a huge fan of his show I thought it was cool because all his guests worked on the show and I recognized them all.

Not to say I’m a fan of all of them, in fact there was one guy I couldn’t stand and his stand up was just as bad as his bits on the show (looking at you Greg Hahn).

Nevertheless, there was another guy I can’t stand on the show (Todd Glass), but he was pretty funny doing standup.

That was a nice surprise!

If you were to ask my girlfriend what the highlight of the show was, she will tell you it was when Tosh brought his dogs onto the stage.

If you watch his show you will notice his two dogs make appearances all the time and my girlfriend was super pumped to see them.

Daniel did a whole bit on being a dog owner, and it was really funny.

Again, I wasn’t used to the way the show was lined up but that’s not to say that it wasn’t good.

It basically went Tosh did 15 minutes of stand up, then he brought out a friend and that guy did about ten minutes then Tosh came back on and did another 15 minutes until he brought out another friend.

My Biggest Shock

The biggest shock of the night was the people in the crowd.

I really would have thought Tosh had an age range of 18-35, but I found that over half the crowd were people in their 50’s.

I’m not sure if they were there by mistake or maybe they scored free tickets somehow, but I wasn’t expecting the older generation in the crowd the way there were represented.

Concluding My Review

Overall, it was a great experience once again, and I’m so happy I could attend.

I wasn’t a fan of the theater simply because of the way they had the bathrooms set up and the insane bar wait.

It’s kind of a downer because I really do want to see Terry Fator and will at some point, but I’m not looking forward to going back to the Mirage to see it.

We hope you liked our review of the show.

Thanks for the review. Was really surprised to read about the demographic of the audience. Wonder if that's more a Vegas thing or an indicator of the type of people that love his show. What do you think?

I bet it's more of a Vegas thing....probably more people in that age willing to go to shows in general where the younger demo probably go to other "party" type venues.

For sure, good point. Wonder what the blue hairs think of Tosh's humor. Haha

Yeah I bet they are shocked....but they also go to the shows where the girls are topless so maybe they expect to be shocked.

Definitely a fair point.

Tosh is like ...42 years old. So the demographic doesn't really surprise me much.

I've seen his show many times, not sure what to think of it. I do think that Las Vegas is a hotspot for new and exciting things though. If Tosh can brings some less perverted things on his show, then I will probably tell more people to watch it!

yeah you have to have a stomach for his for sure....some of his stuff is out there!

Fantastic! Oh how I wiash I could have attended! Thank you for this post

You're welcome! Yeah it was good!

Well written and informative. Thank you for posting this. Steem On! :)

Thanks....we will keep these coming. So many events in Vegas I want to review!

So this wasn't "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"? :)
more like "what happens in Vegas go to Steemit" ;)

Hey some things you can talk about! Some things not so much :)

Haha absolutely! ;)

Need to keep it away from the NSFW designation!

Great review!!!! Sounds like you had an awesome time at the show. I feel like I would have been a little disappointed it wasn't Daniel the entire stand-up, but either way seems like fun.

Thanks for the compliment. It was a good time.

Good review! I like tosh as well but I'm not a fan of his comic friends. I bet Greg Hahn was horrible and I'm super shocked that you said that Todd Glass was funny because that guy's prank show bit on tosh.o is horrible

Haha...well maybe that was his one time to be funny!
