Full of contrasts

in #lifeyesterday

Two vehicles seen on the same day - two vehicles that so accurately describe the state of our entire country. There is no need to delete the registration numbers here, they say nothing in this case, at the same time they say a lot, they say everything.

It's a Russian machine from... the last century, used by the military - that's what the license plate says. Our whole country is like that - worn out, mothballed, dilapidated, it stopped working a long time ago, but at the same time someone continues to abuse it and ride it.

On the other side are the rich people. Those who buy a Mercedes-AMG One for 2.5 million euros. This is what the license plate number of the car says here. But this driver and owner in this case decided to pretend to be ecological, he decided to simply be modern, to stand out in a different way. Because, we all know, the Mercedes-AMG One is unsuitable for driving on Bulgarian streets. And yet, people buy it. 😃

Such is life in the country - full of contrasts and extremely difficult to live.

Hive.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

That's a proper angle to it... well spotted :)
Let me correct you about two things, if I may.
It isn't a Russian vehicle, it is a Soviet one. There is a big difference, trust me on that!
It has a military plate, as far as I can see, so burning 25-30 litters of gasoline per 100 km is fine, I guess, as it is paid by the taxpayers and as we all know, nobody cares.

I think there is a proper community for that sort of posts, something about ranting :D
