Nothing Like the Beach

in #life7 years ago

I grew up on the southern Oregon coast near the small town of Bandon. Going to the beach was a weekly thing. Even when it was foggy or rainy, we went to the beach. Living close by the ocean gave us the opportunity to experience all the wonders of nature and beach life. This was not the kind of place where you laid out and sunned yourself in the warm sands. It was cold! But when you're a kid, nothing seems cold. We played in the water and warmed ourselves by the bonfires or campfires. We played around the old lighthouse and ran up and down the sand dunes. It was family time and we had loads of fun. We always packed a picnic and stayed for hours. Life was simple and carefree at the moment. The 4th of July picnic was especially exciting because we were entertained with the exciting display of fireworks that were set off over the jetty near the lighthouse. The oohs and ahhhs were heard throughout the night. Sometimes the sound of the fireworks was all that was present because the fog was so thick you couldn't see much of anything else. It was still fun and to a kid, it was magical.

Have a safe holiday weekend where ever you are.

So.. who told you it was acceptable to vote yourself up. Provide a vapid comment and ignore voting the original poster?

You scammy dude!

What? I am not sure what you're talking about. I am very new to this so just learning. Why would you call me a scammy dude? Not sure what you mean by vapid comment and ignore voting the original poster. If I did something unacceptable it was totally by mistake. BTW...I upvoted you...does that make it better?

This guy above is spamming my every post because I didn't upvote his post.

Well it took me by surprise. I think it's amusing that he called me a "scammy dude" because obviously I'm not a dude. I mean my post has made $.06. Not like it's going to break the bank. LOL. Oh well...no worries from me.

Don't worry, dear, we're fine.

That was not directed at you @sidewalktraveler - It was directed at crypto-p

Oh, my misunderstanding. :)

@Jerrybanfield what do you think about people getting pissed when you upvote your own comment, and not theirs? They want your money too...

I think self Vote is allowed lol

Thank you all the way 'round
