RE: The Beer-Bellied Fundamentalist and I

in #lifelast year

That was certainly an interesting day at the beach. Since he never brought up the subject, you'll never know whether or not he really was a fundamentalist Christian. Know-it-alls exist in all religious and non-religious circles. He probably is, indeed, looking for another woman in his life. Good thing you had that urge for a stroll down the beach. LOL! And I love your daughter's creativity. I'll keep an eye out for swimming kangaroos next time I visit the ocean.

There was something about his behavior and mannerisms that reminded me of previous experiences with intensely religious people, but yes, we will never know for sure. It is unlikely I will ever see him again, so I treat him as a character that now belongs to my mind, and therefore I get to decide what he is or is not. Ha. I love a good character. They are everywhere, and so interesting to stumble upon. I do think he was good natured, but just felt awkward, so he managed to fumble the conversation. Which, ironically, made it all the more interesting for me.

You never can be sure what will come crawling out of the Atlantic...
