So I chanced to look outside at around 19.00 yesterday and it was snowing, and was greeted by a perty view...
This is the first time it has snowed properly in several years, and the first time in possibly decades it has snowed this early but it's been nice, especially since I've been in the heat of Portugal for the last couple of years it gives the experience a another layer of novelty.
Naturally this small dusting of snow on the roads caused absolute chaos with people having to abandon their cars on the M2 and a massive slow down on the north of the M25 with vehicles sliding all over the place.
I chose to leave my car firmly parked - fortunately/ unfortunately I parked facing uphill and there's a lot of snow and ice on the road I'm on off the main road, so I can't really get out until the snow's gone!
Although TBH I don't really mind having an excuse to be stuck at the GF's house a couple of days longer than usual.
This morning I did my usual 15 minute walk to the co-working space, it was too early for sledgers, but again perty, and on the way back this was full of excitable children off school (lucky them) sledging, but I didn't stop to take photos of that less somone call the pedo police...
Before heading to co-working I dropped into the local town centre which was nice and empty, the crack-addicts weren't out in the snow oddly enough and Gregg's was relatively empty.
Their 'Festive' menu is up, which is EXACTLY the same as their regular menu expect it's got a red background and digital snow flakes..
So I had me a 'festive' bacon role and latte and then headed co-working...
One thing I really like about my co-working space is that it's WARM!
After an element of ice-dodging en-route home, as the snow had by now turned to Ice on the pavements due to a day of tramping I was home by 15.00, slack day I know, kind of, I did have an early start at before 8.00!
I made a slight mistake my leaving early to come back to the GFs house where the heating was switched off and we sat around with another couple of friends 'working from home' with our hats and coats and gloves on which was nice!
Anyway, the heating's on and we've got slow cooked pork, chick peas ,potatoes and peppers for dinner so I'm a pretty happy bunny now!
dude, that is not snow.... we get that here in an hour in switzerland :-)
I always have to laugh at how that little sprinkling can cause so much chaos.
but on the downside this is going to skyrocket the gas prices for people
Yeah we are just a tiny tad lame here when it comes to snow!

I find it makes me very sleepy when it's so cold. We have a little snow here, not much different in appearance than the very heavy frost we've had for several days now. I'm running out of butter, but otherwise, I have plenty and it's very snug.
Shit butter is a trip out for me!
I'll get the milkman to deliver some if needed.
Nice!
I did the snow work this morning so my wife could get the car out, as there was a blizzard last night - it took about an hour :D Here of course, it doesn't change much otherwise, as cars have winter tyres on and most of the roads are cleared during the night.
We're real lightweights when it comes to snow, you're much more set up for it!
Give it a few more years and casting a casual glance will make you one..
Or thinking about children?
