It's been a long time since I last posted anything in my How-To series and as I managed to grab some free time during the weekend, I decided to think over the topics and choose a nice one. It is always my aim to post the quality stuff, and maybe it's a helpful sign for you Steemians to recognize me as a good citizen of Steemit? Well, there are many other people who write more quality stuff than mine, but since my audience appreciates my content, I would take it as a compliment.
Due to the complex projects that I'm working on, it's been nearly impossible to spare some time to keep posting on Steemit, but I am still trying to stay active. Anyways, let's get back to the topic.

Not everyone wishes to be a good citizen as there are thug people and gangsters everywhere who don't give a damn about the country where they live in. But the good thing is, there are a lot of people who not only wish to become good citizens but are also ready to put efforts in it.
If you're one of those who wants to be a good citizen then let me tell you, it's easy and doesn't take many efforts. All you need is the dedication and a clear vision of what you want to achieve. Here are several ways to become a good citizen.
# 1 - Educate Yourself:
If you really want to contribute something to your country, then the first step is to become educated. With higher education, you get even more chances to serve your country and with knowledge comes power. As you progress, you'll have many opportunities of helping the community by educating others.
Teaching is a noble profession and that's one way to educate your community and help them become helpful for the country. The ultimate goal is to help your country and give it something back for what it gave to you. In return, those educated people will add value and you'll get rewarded by God.
# 2 - Follow The Rules:
One of the worst things to do is violating the laws and rules set by the country, and if you claim that you are a good citizen after violating rules, then it can only be a claim and not the reality. But in case you truly want to be a good citizen, correct your mistakes and start following the laws and rules set by the government.
I understand that it can be difficult to follow some extreme rules but I consider such rules a loyalty test of a citizen. A good citizen is always obedient to follow the rules, whether he likes that rule or not, otherwise, your saying of being a good citizen can only be a claim but not the reality. But in case the rules are against the laws or human rights, then you have all the rights to protest and ask for reconsideration.
# 3 - By Volunteering:
It's not always a good idea to charge others for doing something for them, even though you have the right but sometimes it's better to serve your country by volunteering and doing something in which you're expert. Maybe find the homeless people and help them either financially or physically, whatever is possible for you.
Volunteering doesn't only prove that you're a good citizen but it also makes you feel relaxed and that's how your heart starts softening for others.
# 4 - Conserve The Resources:
Another great way to be a good citizen is to reduce the wastage of water and save energy. The same drops of water that are probably being wasted could help someone staying alive. And by saving energy, we can enable the country to use the resources in more productive things and therefore, prove that we are good citizens. And well, reducing the wastage and conserving the resources won't only be beneficial for the country but also for ourselves since we'll be able to do some more savings.

True! We should be good citizens and we can start it in our own homes. We should be sensitive to our surroundings
Great post, I like it.
I appreciate your education.
Nice post!
Those are some good pointers/ideas on being a good citizen. Just last week I went out volunteering to plant trees in the local park. In my country people are cutting trees without replacing them, so I joined the campaign to educate people on the importance of trees and protecting the environment. I am glad to be playing my part in bringing change and being a good citizen :)
Education is always essential in the development of each individual, regardless of the ecosystem where it is developed always need the values for their proper integration into society, hence the importance of their advice, from now I follow.
hola, que buen tema , la verdad que cumplir como ciudadanos habla de nuestra formación de hogar, esa es la mejor universidad que existe. la que nos dan nuestros padres. de allí viene todo, el respeto , la humildad ,todos los valores .
