Trying to manage my time better.

Time is finite.

There are only so many minutes in a day and between sleep, work and family duties there are very few unaccounted for.

They say that the only two guarantees in life are death and taxes but if you have a proper life there are certain responsibilities that come with it.

Buy a house and you need to pay the mortgage.

Have kids and you need to look after them and and provide.

Have a healthy relationship and you need to maintain it.

Those are just the very basics of life. Everybody can make their own choices but for me it's important to provide a good life for my family which requires a lot of time and effort.

The few spare minutes after that are up to us how we spend them. I see a lot of different attitudes to this but the key difference that i can see is how the most successful people try to spend this time outside of their day to day responsibilities.

You can either use that time to improve your circumstances or to distract yourself from them.

The world is full of distractions. I can find a dozen of them in the house between my phone, the tv, computer and multiple other devices that will burn my time but not add anything of value in return.

On the other hand i can use that time to earn some extra money, to learn something new, to increase my fitness.

Positive choices instead of wasted time. It's much easier to waste the time as no effort is required but that's why i'm trying to make better use of those precious few minutes.

Just by accomplishing anything in the evenings and it's better than the alternative.

Over time these positive choices will have a snowball effect and lead to better lifestyles and more spare time to work with. That's what i like to believe at least.

After a busy summer we should have a little more time to work with at the weekends for the things that we love doing and that we can try new things.

I think that you can stack learning the same way that you can stack tokens. The first few pieces are the hardest but over time as you increase your stack of knowledge the next bits come easier. Hopefully someday it will all become more valuable than we could ever imagine.

Pomodro technique works for work. Personal life mostly the batched work and scheduled list always works out.

Time is truly finite and sometimes you need to look for those things that truly takes time without adding much value. Responsibility feels like everything we live for, but sometimes they just makes us responsible
