The cat is the second most popular pet n the world after the dog, and we have many things to know about them. One of the information is why cats shouldn’t medicate with acetaminophen.

Cats are independent animals clever, strong, but also very delicate. If you give acetaminophen for any illness of the cat it could cause damage or even death in many cases


How this happens?



The acetaminophen is degraded by an enzyme known as glucuronyl transferase which in very low levels in cats generates effects extremely toxic.

In what levels is the acetaminophen toxic?



This medicine in cats produce damage when you give dose of 50mg/kg, in other words, if a 10kg cat consume a 500mg tablet, it could cause him death

The best option is to avoid giving this medicine to cats, our pets are very important and give us a great amount of happiness. Let`s take of them, givng them a better quality of life, love and more over much health and welfare
