Okay minnows...Do you feel frustrated like you've put in time and energy writing blogs that you are proud of ....but yet you are lucky if you made a few cents? Do you feel that you are out there following a bunch of people and they are all not following you back? Do you feel like your rep is just never going up or not fast enough? Well let's discuss this and break it down :)
Okay I am also a minnow here almost two months...so I have had the same frustrations...BUT... here is the deal...most of us were brought here by a friend or family member with illusions of immediately getting rich....No!
Nothing is for free. Everything requires work..time..energy and passion. And based on all other social medias out there it seems everybody wants to share something ...a story...sadness...photos from you last great get-a-away...your artistic talents etc. So we are all agreed that Steemit is the place to do it because if you can make any money then bonus!! So before you give up ..keep reading.
Having fun and meeting new people from all over the world and learning new things should be number one..well and of course having the desire and passion for blogging and sharing because in the end the quality and value of what you blog as well as the relationships you have made here in steemitland will determine your outcome....but wait there is hope ..a foot in the door...a light at the end of the tunnel...
#minnowsfaucet! Now don't get me wrong there are other good communities out there...I just am here to bring awareness to #minnowsfaucet. ..but the concept of all the communities are the same :)
When you join one of these smaller communities within the big steemit community...it doesn't feel so overwhelming.
You see... you can follow all of the people want but it doesn't mean they will follow you back...that is one of the benefits of these communities. So lets talk about #minnowsfaucet
and @nicnicy ...here is how it works and how it benefits you and others in the community.
#minnowsfaucet is real SIMPLE! STEP #1 You go to @nicnicy page Daily and follow all of HIS followers...and in return everyone who does this follows you. (Benefit. ..you start to build a following) STEP #2 in the V.I.P for DAILY ACTIVE members once a day you post one NEW ACTIVE blog that you feel proud of and feel it wasn't seen or appreciated...and as a member you and everybody else will read it ..upvote it..comment on it....and possibly resteem it . (Benefit...if everyone who is active followed this that would be hundreds of people doing this and if you got enough upvotes you might not only make a buck or two but stay on the feed longer then a blip...also this helps you gain more rep ..also benefit of commenting is communication...most comments lead to conversations and here is where you build relationships..also people can offer friendly advice on a variety of issues you might have ) So I strongly believe in #minnowsfaucet and think you should give a try...you have nothing to lose only gain :)
#1 curate at least 15 to 20 on your feed in addition to 5 to 10 under New.But on a closing note whether you join #minnowsfaucet or The Minnow Project.. @minnowsupport or any other community...it's only a foot in the door...you still have to work...go on your feed and curate..upvote..comment and converse with not ONLY your followers..but new people as well...add new people along the way...DO this every day... The more followers you have the less you will see..so try things like
#2 go and look at who is upvoting you and check out their page and posts. ..upvote and comment .
#3 go to your followers list randomly choose 5 to 10 people to check out their page and posts to upvote and comment as well

And also a side note..THESE SMALLER COMMUNTIES ARE FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS FOREVER....THEY ARE A GREAT HELP IN THE BEGINNING AND THROUGHOUT...STAY LOYAL...THEY ARE NOT A STEPPING STONE!!

Nice post @kayleigh-alesta. I hadn't heard of minnowfaucet before, will check it out. You may have noticed I upvoted your post with the (@)originalworks bot - just leave a comment on any post with the bot name as I did and the bot will determine if the post is original content or not - if it is original content the bot will give you an upvote and a comment saying it is original content. I just followed like 300 people, maybe they'll fall me back we'll see .... I think in about a week I'm going to go through my followers and follow only people that are following me.

everyday Im increasing my power from scratch, so one day we get there. Keep upvoting good content and making good coments that show that you read the post, is a good way to earn some small amounts daily. :-) Also use the tools that steemit provide to track good content with potential grow. why not simply upvote undevalued minnow posts..?
It's alot more then just upvoting ...it's a give and recieve kinda thing ...everyone benefits..and I also said in the post. ..that you still have to put in time for your followers and curating etc. I love the this community. ..but the choice is always yours...I'm trying to spread the word and help grow the community...definitely not force it on anybody :) :)
Of course what you are doing is good for the community
but
for minnows and new users like me..its too much of a thing to grab every other day..
how many projects can I take part in and how many can I remember..?
Sorry, since I am a minimalist photographer... I kinda prefer simplicity in everything.
As a User, my expectation is that Good Content gets upvoted on its own Merit.

I see and understand your point...steemit in itself is a community. .we are just small communities within...again there is no need...its an option. ..that people can choose for extra support...and as I said we also curate ..upvote..comment etc from our feed and new as well...so we ...

good question, when the undervalued minnow post is a good content yes, it is worth it! Im trying to do that, but the ideal way is to keep your power vote above 80% daily, and upvote 4 or 5 good undervalued content with 5% power to be worth it (Because 20% of your power backs every 24 hours). Well, Im newbie here, just my newbie view yet.

sure, I agree, find 4 to 5 good undervalued content everyday, upvote and most important make a good comment that show u read it! do this using your 5% steempower and thats it, focus on your work photos. :-) Think upvote 4 posts and make 4 comments is not complex :-)

nice mate, thats a lot , I resteemed one post from you today earlier, Im 370 posts + comments in a week, think is a lot too. Im planing invest in steempower my money, but Im learning from steemit tools yet. Think steem has a bright future, but as an investor I always have to spread my investments to minimize the risks. Success :-)

so you will be at 7400 comments in 5 months at this rate.. thats quite a lot

Love the idea behind this community. It's kinda weird too, bit i enjoy going through @nicnicy's followers list and finding new people to follow. I've been here 2 months and have almost 500 followers from just a few blogs, I'm sure #minnowsfaucet has been a big help in that. Now I just gotta start posting more frequently.
I hear you I've been here two months and haven't blogged anything serious except maybe four times because I'm in the middle of a huge move..But come September 1st ..I'm going full throttle lol ...congratulations on getting 500 followers...:):)

Steemit can be overwhelming and even disheartening sometimes for new users. I embarked on a mission to help minnows by sharing the SBD I gain from votes. I look at the numbers I am making and feel very discouraged, as I feel I am not helping at all. Neither I have the power/money, nor I am making any progress. I guess I was hoping that a whale or a dolphin will notice these efforts and participate with a vote from time to time to increase the income that I can share. Having a community to support is a wonderful way to make us continue our aspirations despite the difficulties. Truly many thanks to @nicnicy, you and everyone @minnowsfaucet. Love :)
Hi @theleapingkoala...it's okay we have all felt that way but after being here my first month I realized it's not about the money...it is about showing people who YOU are...what are your talents..thoughts ..ideas..personality :) :) you make real relationships...you check in on one another...you put your best foot forward in your writing or art or music or whatever you are showing the world. The quality of what you share...the people that you make friendships with will pay attention and honestly ...I've seen it myself when people make money...minnows or dolphins I mean...is random...and it's a high and exciting but never expect it ...enjoy steemit for friends and social factors ..if you make some money later then BONUS:) :) you're gonna be alright my friend we will grow together...You are NOT alone :) :)
