Reputation in Steemit is the most important asset you can acquire.
rep·u·ta·tion
repyəˈtāSH(ə)n
- the beliefs or opinions that are generally held about someone or something.
- a widespread belief that someone or something has a particular habit or characteristic.
In Steemit, it can influence the opinions and thoughts that Steemians have of you and affect their actions before following you. It can also shape the expectations of a person, an organization or the entire Steemit Community.
Do you agree that your reputation invisibly attracts and repels followers every day? I certainly do!
It is also perpetuated by persistent behavior or altered by a change in behavior.
A great reputation here is your personal asset that can create your long-lasting legacy and a successful future.
Here's my personal take on this core value and how you can change your reputation for the better:
- Create quality contents more than you get paid for CONSISTENTLY.
- Never subscribe to the "status quo". No one ever wants to be the same. Be peculiar.
- Once you say something it can never be taken back. Choose your words wisely.
- Never resteem everything that you see. Your reputation can be transferred when you endorse someone else.
- Give constructive criticisms if deemed necessary but never negative comments. Negative comments depreciates someone's reputation and YOURS.
- Research. Write down the reputations of several Whales you know. It will be clear why people are attracted to them.
- Surround yourself with people whose reputations are at a higher standard than yours.
There's no advertisement as powerful as a positive reputation traveling fast. - Brian Koslow
The only way to keep a good and strong reputation is to continuously earn it.
At the end of the day,
a good and strong reputation leads to influence and authority. Hence, the Foundation of Power
Lastly, your reputation may take a long time to build, yet can take only seconds to destroy. So, take good care of your it because a damaged reputation is hard to restore and will take longer to fix than when you built it. In most cases, it may be permanent.
Like the usual saying, You cannot give what you don't have.
So gain your foundation first by simultaneously building your core values to help the Steemit Community.
This may not be the same for everyone but I hope I'm able to help someone like me.
Just one person to help in this community is enough for me to continue writing. Thanks!
