LIVING WITH A TIGER
Since 2013 my life has had a great change, it may not be something so significant, nor a memorable event for many.
But honestly since sharing life with this incredible animal, many things in my day to day have changed.
In 2012 I had the pleasure of meeting her, a cross of domestic cat with an Asian leopard, what is this? How can it be real?
And so it was, a bengal cat, that from day one has captivated me in an incredible way.
Since she was a mother cat in a "factory" where her only reason to live was to produce kittens to sell them, she never experience freedom.
They are very exotic cats and very expensive, with a cost about one thousand US dollars for a small kitten.
She was rescued in 2011 from this horrible place, was stolen by a person close to the place and was immediately neutralized, so they were no longer interested in having her, because she will no longer be able to reproduce.
Two years later I was brought to Punta del Este, and offered me to keep her, since she had nowhere to live, after escaping to freedom.
More than 5 years ago I worked as an animal shelter, an unforgettable experience, with tasks from the manufacture of kennels, baths, treatments, fundraising to feed more than 200 animals, and many many rewards of love.
Today I keep collaborating and giving everything for the animals, I have 3 cats (along with Ginger, my favorite Bengal) and 4 dogs, all adopted, I always try to carry a bag of ration in my backpack for when I meet with four paws hungry friend, and lately my collaborations with the animal association has been from my computer, designing variety of articles and products for them.
Returning to the subject of my cat, her name is Ginger, she is about 9 years old, her personality and energy are incredible, beyond her notorious beauty, her soft golden fur, with emerald green eyes that draw the attention of anyone.
Her shyness, her continuous interaction with me, is a cat that responds with her "meows" to all kinds of words and talks that we keep on a daily basis.
She is an excellent hunter, has a small body, short legs and round face, green eyes and the tip of her black tail are two great characteristics of her race.
So much has been the love for this animal, so many unforgettable moments and company that has given me, that I even got a tattoo of her, to carry her and remember her forever.
It incredible the satisfaction and the feeling of being loved that any animal can give you.
Today she lives in a house, with a large garden, many trees, games, cats to play with, and above all a lot of freedom. I am proud to have been part of her life and to be able to give her the same happiness that she gives me day by day.
DO NOT BUY ANIMALS, DO NOT PROMOTE THIS BUSINESS.
IF YOU WANT A CAT OR A DOG ADOPT, ADOPT FROM THE STREET, ADOPT FROM A NEAR REFUGE,
THERES ALWAYS AN AMINAL NEEDING HELP AND LOVE NEAR WHERE YOU ARE, YOU JUST NEED TO OPEN YOUR EYES AND YOUR HEART.
This is the short story of how we change our lives mutually with this beautiful animal, I hope this post motivates to help more, to love more, and to get more involved with the animals we have domesticated and in turn have abandoned so much.
