“Maybe you don't go to hell for the things you do. Maybe you go to hell for the things you don't do. The things you don't finish.”
― Chuck Palahniuk, Lullaby
Life in full can be compared with the choice. All our existence, every moment, every second consists of a choice.
Perhaps, haven't done even by you, but ultimately influenced by you. After all, no one has abolished the basic property of chaos:
"The flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil set off a tornado inTexas"
Edward Lorenz
So in real life, the whole modern world is chaos, with variable stability. Each decision of a person directly and perhaps not even realized, is based on past experience or is made with the expectation of a certain result in the future.
I believe that we should not forget the theory of six handshakes. The inhabitants of the Earth are much closer to each other than we all think. According to the theory, any two people on the planet are separated by not more than five levels of common acquaintances (and, correspondingly, six levels of connections). This confirms the properties of chaos, because even one random, rash decision can drastically change someone's life.
«The roads that have been walked are few, Mistakes that have been made are many.»
as Sergey Yesenin said. It is mistakes, failures and falls that characterize a person, more precisely that a person lives, and not just exists. After all, only those who do nothing, do not make mistakes. Who succumbs to the circumstances, bends under the choice made instead of him. How many of us are those for whom someone made a choice: friends, parents, employer, circumstances. But what is the proportion of your own choice in such situations?
By nature, we are all ambivalent. That is, the same object causes the person at the same time to have two opposite feelings (and we are not talking about a mental disorder now). As a consequence, our decisions sometimes become hostages of an external factor.
Infinite fluctuations between opposite solutions, the inability to choose between them, often lead to a refusal to make a decision at all. Thus, lay the responsible for accepting it to the world.
But it's not just about physical actions. How often, we do not attach our words, due attention. We can offend, humiliate a person. And very often a loved one. However, not all words affect us. Phrases pronounced with feelings, with strong emotions, influence much more strongly. But few people think about the fact that our words can be reflected not only today, but also tomorrow and further, and further ..
The overwhelming majority does not understand where the consequences of their actions will lead.
In the world everything is so connected, everything is intertwined. Today, the driver did not miss the pedestrian at the crossroads, the pedestrian showed him a finger. The driver was offended, wanted to jump out, but changed his mind. At work, he took offense and anger at a woman of advanced years, she chastised her daughter (student), a student - shouted over the phone to a friend, he - with sorrow drunk, took his father's car, crashed into another car. Father is in huge trouble. And where it all began - with the fact that Dad did not miss a pedestrian. People think that they will cheat someone, they will circle their fingers, they will go over their heads and nothing will happen to them. Of course, everything is not as they think.
Every day we choose: to become angry or to remain calm, to smile or be offended. Even the ancients used to say that actions shape fate. Our life is not so long to tell ourselves «next time». So everything in this life depends on a large extent on us. So, through falls, ups, mistakes and correct decisions, we make our way to life.
