Steemit when was the last time you decided to step in though the situation didn't involve you? Until yesterday well last night I wouldnt have been able to answer that myself...
As a parent you always want to be an example and set a standard for your children to follow.. but when are the lines to much and not enough brought into play? Thats a question I feel is definitely hard to answer.. for example the video above I took last night when my son Logan and I found a box of kittens tossed out onto the side of the road several of these kittens were dead from what looked like trauma from being tossed or whatever had happened but this one here in the video he was alive while part of me felt like he was a goner another part of me felt like maybe he was a fighter but either way I certainly didn't want to make my son think the poor thing would live only to die with in a few hours of being brought back home with us but being as my son was dead set on saving this little guy I decided to try. So I took off my shirt and wrapped the little kitten up amd we took him home and begun feed it with an eye dropper. He has a damaged eye that has an infection and his mouth well jaw seems to have some issues.. after going by the veterian we were told as long as we give him an antibiotic and some vitamins he prescribed the kitten that the kitten should make it and to follow up in a week abf since then we have been monitoring the kitten. Its been approximately 32 hours and it seems to be doing a lot better than he was. With that said did I take to much of a chance or did I teach him right? I'll let you be the judge of that. I personally feel I did, but some may disagree. Thanks for reading steemians have a good one and take care.
Disclaimer: The image I used in the header of my post can be found on the website volunteerslo.org. Steemians I appreciate the time each of you took reviewing this post, I wish you all the best take care and stay safe.
I think you did good man - something you can both be proud of together. Sorry it's been a while since I checked in, good to hear you have some time with your son.
Totally unrelated and not my business so you can tell me to p1ss off if you want, but did you send 60 STEEM to get 72 SBD back? Perhaps you left a few SBD there but if not, the Internal market here is slightly better I think - 60 STEEM for 76 SBD right now.
I am seeing this a lot now, and looked at someone else I saw do this the other day. The large bid at the end comes in at 80%+ of the total vote value. You can see this in the sleeplesswhale comment on this post.
The other person bid 80%+ of the vote value on about 10 bots for one post. They already were pretty full when the big bids came in. It seems like it is only on the bots that accepts bids at -0- minutes after posting. That other person is using some kind of service for bidding and told me he sent too much money, but it's on all his recent posts. I think it might be a way to mess with the curation percentage(?) It makes no sense otherwise to lose money on purpose on every bid.
I'm in there all the time - this is a new twist in the last weeks. There are maybe 10 people doing it now. I'm only on the small bots and do not know about the big ones.
Being out of the Bot game has certainly eased frustration for me.
Many big bidders don't care about ROI - Bots are promotional tools after all, and promotion should cost the buyer.
I'm bummed with bots for a few reasons:
Look at all the front runners these days - they don't care about the content, only ROI - front run a Bot at 1 min though, and you won't be getting much curation.
2nd, it's a reward pool, for rewarding content. And now, it's for sale. This was not how it was intended, and if everyone put their stake up for sale, how would that look? If a competitor can avoid this, and keep their pool clean, goodbye Steem.
Am I selling? Nope. Am I thinking with my heart and not my head? Perhaps.
Many, many of the larger people who used to vote on my posts are now delegating to bots instead. They only keep 500+ sp to have the slider - or have delegated all and stopped posting entirely. My steemdunk is almost empty of posts. I am shocked by some of the people who are gone now.
The issue with this "bot crushing" strategy is that it kills a bunch of other people at the same time who were also trying to boost their posts. The other person I looked is doing this on promo-steem posts!!!! The irony!
I've always been a content creator here and never an investor except in time. I might not last much longer. I made the mistake of watching some videos about steemit from other content creators who left, and from people who do not like the model in the first place. Then I took a look at trending for the first ever time in a year here. Big mistakes to look in those places in terms of my motivation.
I think my biggest mistake was posting minnow tips all year. The only people who care about them are minnows, and they are dying fast now. I should have done the "suck up to the whales" strategy, but that is not in my nature and I still do not even know who most of the whales are.
Now I am trying to pick up the wreckage of my other projects not-on-steemit, and I sure do regret dropping them now.
@fitinfun Not to sound ignorant at all.. but I never paid attrntion to the ROI and i didn't mean to mess up anything for you or anyone. You have my apologies. Next time before using the smartsteem service I'll make sure I'm not burning anyone else I hate to sound uninformed but truth of the matter is i am uninformed so I will make sure to get up to speed. As a token of my actions feel free to use my upvote bot and he will always 100% percent any post you submit for the next week if you send in the bare minimum and though his SP isnt quite as high as others each one of the bots team members will also review and upvote you at 100 % as well @echowhale
Again my apologies @fitinfun didnt mean to mess up anything.
@abh12345 hey man.. its definitely been a good minute I hope all is well on your side. As for your question yeah I did thanks for the heads up man I definitely appreciate it.
A good father and a good person overall, I can bet you that one would would actually do what you did if they were in your position. Not only that, Logan is learning from it as well
Hello Friend how are you? You did very well in saving that kitten that kitten that shows that you have a great heart, there are people who simply throw them away and they do not care they are living beings that feel and suffer I wonder that in that country they do that having so many animal shelters, in venezuela the animals do not suffer the same fate they always throw them away so as not to feed them.
you gave a great example to your son that if it is in his hands to save someone's life he will do that, he seems very responsible to you, every day I admire you more, Logan will be very proud of you
Hello Friend how are you? I had some days that I did not read you
Now I think you did a good act with your child, I imagine that seeing all those dead kittens was a very bad scene but they are things of life the good thing is that they did a good act of nobility for that cat hopefully improve their eye
There are a lot of animal lovers and animal rescuers who work tirelessly across the country to help save animals particularly dogs and cats.
The streets are filled with cats and dogs, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The animals injured, wild and abandoned, from town to town. Many locals simply turn a blind eye when a stray creature passes by, however, It's people that make the difference.
Animal rescue means that people stop (and often dozens stop to witness or help with a rescue) and consider animals as worthy of being relieved of suffering.
I have an animal shelter in my country. The urban street is home to dogs, and cats, primarily. About 80 percent of our rescues are dogs and among them, about half are caused by car accidents. Dogs are not abandoned by humans but live in communities where they are often deliberately fed by families who do not bring the dogs into their homes. The dogs are often fed little bits by several families and also feed off of waste thrown onto the street.
Animals have rights, just as humans have rights. This is a rights revolution. It is a change in our understanding of that concept. It is our responsibility and privilege to protect and extend those rights.
Have a wonderful night
I'm wishing you success and growth, and happiness

Take it easy, Ash.
He's crashing bots intentionally (?) for some reason. Huge bids on many bots. Just came here to see if I could see why. Hopefully reason will prevail.
Crashing? Huge bids are not uncommon, or do you mean the value has gone and the bids are going into negative ROI?
Way negative.

Hi @cartex7 Lovely your post.
