The Four D's of Success- Desire, Dedication, Determination, and Discipline

in #life7 years ago

All of us have dreams and ambitions we strive to achieve through out our life. No matter how big or small these goals are, success in achieving them revolves around The Four D's. Implementing these four key factors is what separates those that only dream and those that actually achieve their dream.

What is the thing that drives you the most?
First thing on your mind when you wake up?
Last thing on your mind before you drift off to sleep?

That thing that you are thinking about right now, that is your goal.

How can you achieve your goal?
What steps do you need to take?
What direction will lead you to achieving it?

Answering these questions will help you identify your dream and the path you need to follow in order to achieve it. So take a moment and write down your dream, and the steps that will lead you to achieving them. That is the first step towards achieving your dream. Implementing the next key factors is what separates you from being a dreamer or an achiever.

Now that you have identified your desire and the steps you need to take to achieve it, you will need to implement the remaining key factors of success.

Wake everyday with purpose and intent, remind yourself that you have a dream and you will achieve it. Stay loyal to the goals you've set and committed to even after the mood you said it in has left you.

It is your determination that will get you to put in the effort even when you don't feel like putting it in. It is about doing what you NEED to do whether you feel like it or not. "Wake up with determination. Go to bed with satisfaction."

Simply put, "Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most." Abraham Lincoln

Thank you for reading, and I hope this inspires you to pursue your goals!

That's a very inspiring quote by Jesse Owens and like he said, it all starts with a dream and desire.

I'm reminded about a quote by Michelangelo who said that if people knew how hard he had to work, he wouldn't seem like much of a genius.

@numpypython that is a great quote, simply put genius is just another word for someone who has worked so incredibly hard and come up with something spectacular as a result.
