RE: My 2018 Steemit plan: THE MOBILE HOME & the problem with modern stuff!

in #joy7 years ago

At the risk of repeating what others may have all ready said, considerations are things like, are we going to travel to only warm areas or are we gonna face some colder weather? And with climate change, you will need to keep up with areas you travel to. If you are going to park it anywhere cold, then you will have to do extra insulating if it's RV, if it's tiny home or rebuild, you can automatically do that. MAKE SURE mechanical parts are still running well, BEFORE buying. Unless you plan to learn how to fix it yourself. (love the model with detachable car~excellent!) Also, modern is a problem in another way, electric cars cannot stay out in cold weather very long without having start up problems. THUS, they always need shelter of some kind from elements if cold. I don't know if they have fixed that problem yet, but I know it is an issue with electric cars. Hybrid is better and I don't know how it is in europe on this. But if you are gonna be too far for average fixes, then yeah, your thinking is spot on. Best things to consider is how you and family typically live. Do the kids hang with you in bed most of the time? Then think about guards for loft room and if you want to haul them up and down. Making small stairs will help that, things like that. What you eat, how many burners you need, how much refrigeration, many have said composting toilet is easier to deal with, than having to do the black water....etc....think on these things carefully and list them will help before you buy/build. :)
