Howdy you all steemians, how have you all been. It's another episode of the SONGSPIRATION series which I started to share with you all some inspiration and priceless life lessons I got from some fantastic music that I've heard and you've also probably heard too. Music has it's importance to every individual and to me I think being able to learn something after listening to a music is the greatest benefit of all.

So for today the song I have to share with you all is a really great song and I think apart the fact that there's a grand message embedded within this song it might end up in your playlist at the very top. Today I'd be sharing with you all inspiration from the song BRAVE by Sarah Bareilles. Let's get on with it then.

Sometimes our choices and desires are not ones that positively align with the expectations of the society or that the society has not yet come to terms with that life style or choice; For instance I found out on steemit here that the society frowns on women that braid wedlocks and then there are people who rebuke mothers who breastfeed their children in public, and then we all know of the public's rebuke against gays. When we delve into the lives of students, you'd realise that those with slightly different life styles are verbally and sometimes physically get attacked by those who are intimated by them. Let us be frank, people take their lives because of the words that others spout to them. You'd realise that many people are driven to the abyss just because of other people's words and them not being able to stand and speak for themselves. These things happen around us and we know some people who are victims and others that are perpetrators.

Here's where the catch. If whatever you're doing you truly believe that it is right, or you have accepted your new lifestyle or truly appreciate who you are, then there's no need to sit down and let them say whatever they like to you. There's this saying that, "Why are you hiding when you've not done anything wrong?". You should be able to speak out for your self while firmly standing for what you believe in. Mila Kunis, a famous Hollywood actor who was judged for breastfeeding in public said this here, "If it's not for you, don't look". There are many other people like here who are standing for what they believe in no matter how the society ridicules them. That's what this song is asking of us that we be brave and stand for what we believe in.

So lovely steemians, never let the society direct their wicked words towards you, but if they do, stand firm and don't be shaken. Protect your beliefs like your life depends on it but before that make sure that it's the right thing you're doing.
