Blessed day friends of Hive, I hope you are well. In today's post I want to tell you about a platform that has helped me a lot to enrich the content of my online classes. This platform is called EDUCAPLAY, in this post I tell you everything I have learned about it.

As I have told you before, I am a teacher by profession and for many years I practiced my career in the traditional system until I moved to another country. Although I stopped practicing formally, I have never been away from my profession. At one time I was working at home and also in a support institute for children with special needs. With the arrival of the pandemic we all had to learn to use technology to our advantage in order to continue training and educating young people and children. This is a positive aspect that I can rescue in the midst of so much tragedy caused by Covid-19.

Since I started working virtually, I have been able to implement tools that I had always wanted to develop in the classroom, but due to lack of resources and the number of students in the same classroom, it was very difficult. Teaching through didactic activities, games and art has always been my greatest motivation. I advocate fun, dynamic and participatory education. That is why I am always looking for new tools. That's how I met the EDUCAPLAY platform.

Educaplay is an online platform dedicated to teachers and students, which allows us to create a series of didactic, diverse and interesting activities. It has a creator that uses artificial intelligence to speed up the process of creating activities. All activities are customizable, which allows us to choose and develop the content we want to work with each group of students or with a particular student. Among the activities that can be created are: word search, crossword puzzles, memory games, sorting letters and words, among others.

What I like most about these activities is that they allow me to reinforce new vocabulary for each topic and I can direct the learning process from the simplest to the most complex. Working with different activities on the same topic helps me to cover the different ways in which students grasp and digest information. To personalize each activity we can upload multimedia content to the platform such as images, audios, photos.

I particularly work this platform hand in hand with the Canva platform. In Canva I choose the images for each vocabulary list, download them and then upload them to the Educaplay platform. From one topic I can create more than 7 different activities.
I can say that this method has worked wonders for me because the kids love it, they have a lot of fun and along the way they learn a new language.

Another aspect that pleases me a lot is that the activities we create are evaluated by the platform and if they meet the minimum quality required, they can be published so that other users can access them. I have already published more than 40 activities and I have also used activities created by other users.

An interesting option is to create a challenge with a group of activities from your list and send the pin or link to each of your students so that they can do it as homework. When all students have accessed and completed the challenge, the platform shows you the top students with the highest score. This is an amazing tool to evaluate and reinforce content.

To use this platform as a content creator or as a teacher, you just need to create a user and start creating. The accounts are free, but there is a paid version that gives you access to many other more advanced options.
