Finally winter came. . .
We left our anchorage and arrived two hours later in cinnamon bay.
Why is it called cinnamon bay?
Cinnamon Bay got its name due to its association with an 80-year-old woman who became a local legend for her exceptional cinnamon-based creations. She was renowned for crafting the finest cinnamon delicacies, with her skill and dedication earning her a cherished reputation in the area.
Unfortunately she was not here for the winter - but in the meantime we had a major problem.
Our heater had given up - but we still did not know what the problem was.
After 3 hours of taking the entire heater apart we found the problem - it was carbon blockage. This was so relieving as we did not have a spare heater and without a heater we would freeze at night.
And suddenly snow started falling!
After a few minutes this is what we had...
So amazing - we knew that it would come soon as everyday the hills would be covered by snow overnight... but today was the day we had snow. And we will never forget this as this is the first time ever that the boat had snow...
