So what do you do when you don't have your fancy equipment with you?
Well you use the best camera you have to hand, which usually ends up being your phone!

Today was one of those days, as I was visiting South Queensferry in Scotland on a rare dry and maybe slightly sunny day to have a glimpse of a visiting cruise ship.

Scheduled for today was Princess Cruises Regal Princess which was set on a UK based round trip from Southampton.

South Queensferry and Rosyth have started to grow in demand and popularity for Cruise itineraries with big ships like the Regal Princess visiting and Cunarders such as the brand new Queen Anne that visited one week after her official launch from Southampton.
While Rosyth has has been used as a base by Fred Olsen and Ambassador as the launch port for trips towards the Norwegian Fjords an other northern European destinations.

As for the Regal Princess, she isn't a mega ship like the Oasis of the Seas or World Europa but, she is still massive! coming close to 143,000gt and a length of 330m (1082ft) makes her one of the longest ships.

Her length and height should be noticeable from this image.
Now anyone that has been on a Cruise ship can appreciate the size but for those seeing one for the first time up close, it is staggering.

Anyhow, its one of those days where you wish having the proper gear with you, but if you don't use what you have, then you will never have any image at all, so never fear using the phone!

Now I've been away for a while due to other things happening, but aiming to be back and posting again as I have a lot to share including a cruise I did with another ship earlier in the year which had some wonderful stops!

Cool pictures, I think these cruise ships are so big it's insane. I remember seeing these pictures of the inside and it's like a totally different world lol. Hard to comprehend unless you are experiencing it, I guess.

The alarming part is this is considered a midsize ship now. Back at launch it was one of the largest. Now you see something like Icon of the Seas of World Europa and your like, wow its sky scrapers at sea!

Nice, I fancy a cruise...

You should consider it, appears to work out cheaper then going to a Tenerife all inclusive!
