I’m back with another Actifit Report and Update. I spent another week away from Hive. I’m still working hard to finish my book. I’m happy with the progress I’m making. I completed my first draft. The book is approximately the same length as the first one. It has slightly fewer chapters; 99 if I include the prologue and epilogue. This could still change as I review and edit it. I might split some of the longer chapters. I will only do so if it makes sense.
I began editing a few days ago. It has been a lot smoother than for the first book. I’ve become accustomed to a fiction novel writing style. I’m using the same formatting as the first book. The trickiest part of the editing is the meshing of the sequel part of the book with the prequel part. I wrote the book in a chronological order of events. The prequel part followed by the sequel part. However, the book will move backwards and forwards between the two time periods. I made this simple by dividing the book into seven parts. Parts one, four, and half of part seven are the sequel. Parts two, three, five, six, and half of part seven are the prequel. The epilogue brings the prequel and sequel together and sets the stage for the final book. Combining a sequel and prequel is very unusual. The frozen characters from a thousand years earlier makes this possible. Chapter 71 in the first book helped make this possible. It introduced the creation of the Sapiens and some key parts of Linap history. The prequel part builds off this.
I have also began work on the pictures for the book. The first draft of the cover is in the thumbnail picture at the beginning of this post.
I aim to have around twenty pictures in the book. I’d have nine for the start of the nine parts plus another ten to twelve for selected chapters. I’ll be using my PS5 and some of my other pngs to make the pictures. For this book, I’ll also be using AI to generate some images. I’ve used it to generate Pound Ball team logos and the insides of tunnels. Below are some of images I’ve made so far.

I had a fairly active day yesterday. I walked all the way to town and back. I did a bit of shopping. The weather was pretty good for a late October day. It was an enjoyable walk. I also did my usual 30 minutes of cycling. I have made this a consistent part of my routine.
Upcoming Posts
My next post will be my Sapien Loop quiz. It will be in a similar format to last month’s quiz. I’m hoping to resume my economics content again soon. I have lots to write about. I’ll have to look at my notes to decide what to focus on next.
I’ll soon begin posting Sapien Loop 2 chapters on my @captainhive account. I should begin in November. I’ll try to post two chapters a day. That’ll take me up to the end of the year. Lots of content to come. I’m going to be very busy.
