"Al que madruga Dios lo ayuda" dicho popular en mi pais Venezuela, cada amanecer ofrece un sin fin de posibilidades, pero a veces, la premura del trabajo y quehaceres nos mantienen tan entretenidos que dejamos pasar por alto las maravillas de la naturaleza. Este viernes decidimos Claudia y mi persona, hacer una ruta que conocimos tiempo atrás (inicios) desde la cual se pueden apreciar hermosos paisajes mientras se recorre el solitario camino. Últimamente evitamos las calles de la ciudad por el alto volumen de vehículos y motos.
“The early bird catches the worm” is a popular saying in my country, Venezuela. Every sunrise offers endless possibilities, but sometimes the rush of work and chores keeps us so busy that we overlook the wonders of nature. This Friday, Claudia and I decided to take a route we discovered some time ago (at the beginning) from which you can enjoy beautiful landscapes as you travel along the lonely road. Lately, we have been avoiding the city streets due to the high volume of cars and motorcycles.
En Maracay, la ciudad donde residimos han colocado esculturas y coloridos murales que adornan las calles y avenidas, no habíamos tenido la oportunidad de verlos de cerca. Este dia, aparte de entrenar, aprovechamos para plasmar en imágenes un recorrido de 22 kilómetros (video). Comenzamos en la escultura del Cacao, un tributo a la semilla del árbol Theobroma cacao, el cual es el principal ingrediente del chocolate Venezolano reconocido mundialmente como uno de los mejores. En la parte posterior se aprecia la galleria el cacao de Aragua en la cual se evidencia el proceso y lugares donde se produce el chocolate.
In Maracay, the city where we live, sculptures and colorful murals have been placed to adorn the streets and avenues, but we hadn't had the opportunity to see them up close. Today, apart from training, we took the opportunity to capture a 22-kilometer tour in images (video). We started at the Cacao sculpture, a tribute to the seed of the Theobroma cacao tree, which is the main ingredient in Venezuelan chocolate, recognized worldwide as one of the best. At the back, you can see the Aragua Cacao Gallery, which shows the process and places where chocolate is produced.
Continuamos avanzando hacia la casa de la moneda, justo al frente se encuentra AGROFANG, una empresa agropecuaria de la fuerza armada nacional, a pesar de ser una zona militar, no hubo ningun obstaculo para entrar y recorrer esta ruta de carretera y tierra (en algunos tramos), es una especie de circuito con pases de riachuelos que lo hizo mas divertido, aunque no quería mojar mis zapatos nuevos de ciclismo, pero igual se mojaron.
We continue toward the mint, and right in front of it is AGROFANG, an agricultural company belonging to the national armed forces. Despite being a military zone, there were no obstacles to entering and traveling along this road and dirt track (in some sections). It is a kind of circuit with stream crossings, which made it more fun, although I didn't want to get my new cycling shoes wet, but they got wet anyway.
De regreso, encontramos una plantación de girasoles, observar esta belleza adornando el camino fue muy gratificante, ellas tienen su misterio, sus grandes flores amarillas giran para seguir la trayectoria del sol. Esta ruta regala una hilera de montañas alineadas en diferentes matices de color verde, caminos con poca dificultad y la tranquilidad de estar en conexión con la naturaleza. Al terminar el recorrido, ya camino a casa se encontraba un hermoso mural que rinde homenaje a las "mujeres" y otro mas adelante de Venezuela...realmente este amanecer estuvo lleno de regalos.
On the way back, we came across a sunflower plantation. Seeing this beauty adorning the road was very rewarding. Sunflowers have their own mystery; their large yellow flowers turn to follow the sun's path. This route offers a row of mountains lined up in different shades of green, easy trails, and the tranquility of being in touch with nature. At the end of the tour, on the way home, there was a beautiful mural paying tribute to “women” and another one further on from Venezuela...this sunrise was truly full of gifts.
