It's my fifth day here in Eket. Remember I cried about being stressed and needed a break yesterday, today I had one but I still didn't rest.

Today was a work free day as declared by the state government. Few weeks ago, there was a sad news that shook our beloved state. Our Governor's wife Passed on and it has been a very sober moment for us. Today being the burial ceremony of our First Lady, today was declared a work free day and public holiday. There was a very large crowd at the Burial today as the whole state mourns the demise of the Governor's wife.

We didn't have lectures today although I woke early and prepared for class but I had to remain in my room. After a few hours, it was obvious that there will be no school today and I decided to hit the market. I have been trying to get a shoe for myself and the best option was to come see for myself instead of purchasing from an online vendor.

I got to the market closest to the school and I started hunting. After much hunting, I found the perfect shoes fit for my legs. They were so pretty and I purchased two shoes from the shop.

My second stop was at an eatery. I have a birthday celebration to attend on Sunday ,so part of my job is to book for a cake I can carry down there. So I went to the eatery to book a cake , then I'll pick up on Sunday.

After these events I headed back to the Hostel, I used a few hours to create my Music content for Vibes and then I had to edit it. It was kind of a free day but I was choked up with a few jobs. I couldn't sleep through out the day and I'm tired and drained. This night, Ill get a lot of sleep knowing fully well that it's weekend and my Rest Begins now.
