2024: twelve bright moments

January

What was this year like? The third year of the war... It was difficult. Very difficult. But, despite everything, it also had good days. I don't want to remember the bad. That doesn't mean I forgot. But I don't want to think about it on purpose. Instead, I decided to choose twelve highlights of the past year. These are our walks in the woods with our dogs. These are my garden chores and unexpectedly blooming clematis in February. These are my birds, which once again carefully hid their nest and then presented me with a surprise in the form of charming ducklings. These are our trips to the lake. These are new dogs in my house that were evacuated from the combat zone, which means two shaggy lives that are now safe.

Life is complicated but an interesting thing. In the end, only the current moment remains important, because the past has already passed, and the future has not yet come. It doesn't happen to be easy. But what we focus on and what we choose to remember is much more important. There is very little time left and we will start living in 2025. The quarter of the twenty-first century is behind us! What do I expect from next year? I don't know. But I will try to adjust my life so that it is as positive as possible. I will continue to do what I do. We are waiting for a long struggle against the russian occupiers and this cannot be denied. But a lot of good things are waiting for us. I want to believe in it.
