Are You Bullish On Life?

When I was younger, it was easier to make a decent living, raise a family, and afford the majority of life's necessities. People who could afford a university education found jobs before graduating, and those with skills could afford to start their own businesses and become very successful.

People are content with little to nothing, and it was simple to confide in someone, perhaps a family member or friend, who genuinely cared about your well-being. Nowadays, jobs are not enough. The pencil jobs have been completely taken by the referral method. Pencil jobs, which require wit and brain rather than brawn, are more lucrative.

There are no plans for people who lack the physical strength to perform the brawny jobs, such as myself. So you either go into private jobs where the goal is to make a profit at any cost, or you starve.
The economy has deteriorated to the point where only those who are comfortable can survive.

The majority of what is happening right now is motivated by greed.

Some people seek wealth at the expense of others, impoverishing them. It made me wonder if people were not as greedy back then, but then I realized that greed is a natural byproduct of human evolution. Back then, no one would consider creating a virus in order to develop a cure for financial reasons.

People like Bill Gates do it these days, as do companies like Pfizer. Some people are unconcerned about losing their soul in the pursuit of unimaginable wealth, and many people suffer as a result. The struggle varies by country, with third-world countries faring the worst. Although I will not go so far as to claim that advancement is the root cause of everything.

If I could choose an era to be born in, I would choose the twenty-first century. Maybe a cure for my condition would have been discovered, or perhaps my parents would have undergone genetic testing and avoided passing on that gene to me.
In reality, there is no ideal time to be a human being. Slavery, brutality, and bloodshed were prevalent during the Roman era, but democracy did not exist.

It used to be that you could inherit the title of a slave simply because you were born to a slave; however, this is no longer true.

So, regardless of our progress, I believe that increasing human capacity and mind comes with consequences and side effects.

I remember working at a job where the owner never showed empathy unless you showed visible signs of fainting. However, you have two options: continue working or starve. Even though they are aware that the economy is no longer sustainable, these people continue to pay as low as ever.

Nigeria, for example, is a place of opportunism; I would not call it a Nigerian thing, but rather a human thing. There are those who profit from the suffering of others, and you either join or sink. A lot of billionaires profit from the ignorance of others. For example, betting and alcohol companies are the most patented in Nigeria, and these alcohol companies sell products that are harmful to people's livers and kidneys, but they pay a few influencers to market it so that people drink and ruin their lives.

So, are you optimistic about life?

I will not respond because it is intended to be rhetorical. It is like asking if you still believe Hive will reach $6 in the upcoming bull run. There is no definitive answer to either of these questions, but for the sake of hope and the sentimentality that comes with human perseverance, we will eventually say yes. Yes, because we cannot completely give up on things or life.

Being bullish entails having faith even when things are not going well; sometimes hope is all we have, and it is the only thing we can cling to.

The world has always been a place where the rich and powerful take advantage of everyone else, and likely always will be. It's a sad reality worldwide. Although things are better than they have been in the past, the world is still imperfect. You really have to hang onto hope that things will improve in times of darkness!

Things have appeared better in the past, but like you've said, there will always be something that's wrong somewhere and the world is broken and a lot of people have no sense of justness and fears nothing and not even the retribution that comes after everything. Hope is probably the only thing

Life has changed, but basics are the same. One of my skills were to make money easy, as much as I need (not as much as I want, but still). So, what would I do now:

  1. You need to sleep 7-9 hours, eat decent variety of meals, drink enough water and exercise twice a week.
  2. Find one main job and at least two other sources of income, side hustles.
  3. Build an emergency fund, 6 months expenses worth.
  4. Start build passive income. Hive with auto-vote following a trail can be one of them. Check my monthly report for specific UK ones (you are in UK, right?)
  5. Make emergenc fund for 12 months.
  6. Continue to build until you get enough money from profit/interest/staking to cover your monthly expenses.
  7. Enjoy early retirement.

Life indeed has changed and the basics to survive are probably still there and remains the same, this is true. Well I'm not in the UK, I'm currently in Nigeria and slugging it out.

Thanks for the tips

For the most part, I'm bullish on life. The issue is we couldn't anticipate the consequences that will come about as a byproduct of our advancement as a civilization. Maybe a few do and decided to do nothing about it. But I think the future looks bright considering how far we've come in bettering our way of living and the tools we have at our disposal.

The future seems and looks bright, but the advancement of evil in people will continue and this itself is scary. It feels like evil grows with how enlightened the world becomes.

There is no real answer for it but I do think that everyone has hope. It's rough times and we can only do what we can. You can't be too picky about what you want to do anymore.

You're right, most times the answer we have is mostly built on hope and nothing else really.

I see the logic behind this post and I like it, we must remain hopeful despite the adversities we face, I for one believe that so long as there is life, there is hope, so to answer your question even though rhetorical, I will say yes I am bullish in life. Hehe

Well yes, despite it all, but if we aren't bullish, then what else do we have? There's no other option except despair and hopelessness and we wouldn't want that.

Life has changed a lot, and the future is unpredictable. Every day I feel like giving up, yet still trying to move forward and be successful. The past few years really changed a lot of things in many people's lives and also thought us a lot. It is everywhere you go dear! They always try to profit no matter who suffers. We can only hope for the best!

Well a lot of people feel like giving up too especially when life expectations and demands becomes too much

It's true brother, modern technology has reshaped our world completely, making information more accessible but also bringing new unfortunate challenges. It's the downside of advancement I think. But I'm pretty hopeful about the future

We cut trees to make chairs to take care of a need, eventually the forest life suffers, one way or another one thing goes for another to benefit, it's just our cycle

Well said brother...

Technology has taken us far that we can see so many things online and we can even know their prices without having to walk up to the store
Back in those days that you have mentioned, a lot of people have been wealthy but the online world wasn’t like the way we have it now so there was no reason to be greedy
There was no reason a 21yr old guy will think he’s unfortunate because he doesn’t have a Mercedes
You get that, right?

Nice one

Thank you for putting on paper your thoughts...enjoyed giving it a think!

King Soloman said...'There is nothing new under the Sun.'

Sometimes better...Sometimes Worse...as there are cycles...because God will only let things go so far before He intervenes as Man is determined to destroy himself...in the meantime...Mankind is to look up...having eyes on the solution rather than eyes on the problem.

A good book...Blood in the Streets....has a statement in its forward that is worth reading....something about the Spiritual factor being an issue when it comes to harsher times...a statement which quite agrees with the Bible.

Cheers, Bleujay

For example, betting and alcohol companies are the most patented in Nigeria

I'm not sure how many are patented over here, but you can tell by TV advertising who has money to throw at the masses. And, after ads for medication (which are by far the majority), those for betting and alcohol are very well positioned over here too.
