I am lucky to live in a fairly safe place on our planet. There are no hurricanes, there are no volcanoes or earthquakes here, and there are no floods either, so when I woke up yesterday morning, I thought that while I was sleeping, I had somehow teleported to Asia, from where news about floods usually reaches us.
The view outside the window was unusual. And the most interesting thing was when I had to get into the car in the flooded yard and leave for the city, whose streets look like after the apocalypse. Well, it's not so terrible, but such images here are very unusual.
And as always, someone was in a hurry, nervous, driving through flooded streets and the engines just died. And for some, it was just another attraction.
And no, our sea was not the reason of this flood, and the river that divides the city into two parts has not reached its shores either. Just overnight, an unimaginable amount of rain fell, flooding the sewers and making the streets impassable.
To tell the truth, I went home because it was safer than leaving the car in the water.
This summer is like some kind of misunderstanding. When the whole of Europe suffocates from the unbearable heat, we pray for at least a little warmer weather and less rain. It seems as if all the rain clouds from Europe suddenly swam towards us and melted here, showering us with rain. And summer is so short, and there is not much left of it, and we still did not get the warmer weather we dreamed of. Unfortunately, all we got was lots and lots of rain.
But wind and rain bring changes to our lives as well. And they always solve something, change something. Even if it is very painful. Everything is a lesson. Just learn... We should be happy when we get lessons. After all, they are for the benefit of our own growth.
